How do u make a spoiler?

I know it is stupid but how on earth do u make a spoiler?
This is because on my cycling thread I just have a big paragraph of writing of lurkers there even when it doesn't need to be out all the time, any help?

it's:

Spoiler: what you want here

stuff you want to say [/ spoiler] without the spaces in the brackets. it should look like this without the spaces:

Spoiler: what you want here

stuff you want to say

 

[AnimalCrossingPerson]

And if you want one of those narrow ones, just enter a single space as the spoiler text, like so:

[SPOILER= ]Hello![/SPOILER]

Which would give you:

Spoiler:

Hello!
