How do you customize your character?

The main turn off for me for this game, is that you cannot change out of your work shirt and the fact there is only one you can wear.

I really hate the color of it, and it is hard to match with bottoms/hair colors. :c

I got the Harriet amiibo card and I thought for sure once I made her house she would unlock the hair machine upstairs but it didn't :/

You probably already know this, but you unlock the hair machine with the handbook!

The machine unlocks really early in the game. I can't even remember what triggers it, or if I even actually had to unlock it, actually.

I do wish I could run around more freely without the work shirt. Ah well.

EDIT: How did I forget about the handbook already? lmao

You can cb ve your hair and eyes anytime you want. And the clothes in the changing room.
But when can the hideous work shirt be changed??

I think we can't change out of the work shirt, sadly. Someone needs to tell Tom Nook that we may be able to get more customers if us designers can be more stylin'

Yeah, the red polyester blazer with a rubber ducky yellow string tie doesn't exactly say "Trust me in all matters of style" to me. But Lottie manages to make it work, even though it clashes with her pelt tone and her hair bow. She is an inspiration.

Yeah, you unlock the machine upstairs by using 5 play coins to unlock the feature in your handbook at the desk. Lol

And yeah, it's just like the ugliest thing ever! I wish you could at least have a few color options for it. But, bleh.

You can change out of your jacket if you go to visit villagers or visit facilities, whether that's before you start work for the day or after you finish. You can just pick y'self up and drag yourself over the clothing icon that will pop up on the left. Kinda like remaking furniture, but you're remaking your outfit. The rest of the time, during your workday, you're stuck being a vision in red.
