How do you delete a post?

I checked the FAQ and it said to go to "Edit Post" and you can delete it from there but I don't see the option to delete when I click to edit it. My posting permissions do allow editing but I don't know how to delete after clicking edit. Thanks for any help, it's probably something really obvious but I can't seem to figure it out.

From what I know about the site, I think the post deletion feature where the poster can delete the post has been disabled for regular users. I don't know why, but I know that users can't delete their posts.
