I'm not very knowledgeable about KPOP so I will say that it can seem overwhelming at times haha. I first heard about in 2008 when I met a few girls that were a bit older than me and really into it and I've been slowly learning about it from there and I do sympathize with the OP.
For me personally while there is music from a variety of groups that I like the only group that I follow is TWICE. I live in Japan and it's ranked as the most popular girl group here (and kpop boy groups aren't as popular here, the Japanese groups tend to be more popular for that) so I can hear the music just going shopping and a lot of young people, such as my students, like it.
But even then I don't know what's the best way to follow what the group is up to... I listen to the music releases because those are easy to get information on but I don't know very much about each of the girls or what they're up to. I'm not sure what I should be following in English or Japanese to know what's going on. I'm following their official LINE account but it's really just ads and their birthdays.
Most of the suggestions in this thread are about finding music but does anyone have tips for following not just the music of groups but knowing what's going on with the members as well?
