I'm at maxed storage capacity (1600) but I still find it very insufficient ugghhh

I don't see how people can already have this problem. Like, I don't keep anything I don't need, and I don't collect lots of materials since I don't need them... It's not hard.

i keep the things i reallly like, and then sell the other things ( that can be bought in catalog) ( i also keep things you can't rebuy)

I sell stuff I don't need that isn't reorderable. Or clothing, accessories and etc. that I don't use that much.

I only have a max of 400, and even I can't fill that...yet. And I am collecting dozens of clothes in every color. How are you filling 1600 slots?

You might be the next star of hoarders :p /s

A ton of clothes, and a ton of materials, but everything else takes up a much smaller percentage. I maxed out the one-floor storage [not sure what that is], but I have a lot of stuff I need to craft so that I can use up some of those materials, so I'll probably be good for the foreseeable future. Haven't started paying off the 1 mill loan yet...

At 1,600 max and I've only filled maybe 400ish. and that's with time travel and buying almost everything I see in shops as well as farming materials!!

my storage is 1,600 and is almost always completely full :( each day i have to go through it and pick out some items to get rid of, it's annoying too that i can't store extra DIY recipes! i just have them laying on the floor of my house lol

my storage is full mainly of clothes and resources for crafting, extra tools and loads of furniture as well!

My storage is constantly maxed out by either materials or clothing.. so I do the only sensible thing: spend like an hour trying on clothes and sell items that lost their flair for me. Some items I keep out of nostalgia like my first hat (hanging on my wall since I have no outfits for it), my starter socks and the first shirt I bought for myself :)

Plus.. I use my third room as storage space rn and place items that I bought for other players for either trades or gifts outside and place them if I can so no villagers complain bout my clutter.. rn its mainly a clutter of fossils but hey.. those fossil exhibits are really big and I dont want them on my cliffs lmao. I might forget about them.

Do you have 1600 storage space of less?

If you have nearly 1600 spaces being used by 30 packs of resources, and assuming you have 200 clothes items, you have around 42,000 resources, which is enough to craft a lifetime's worth of furniture. I suggest you get rid of 75% of that.. Definitely get rid of tree branches as they are free and easy to obtain.

I've been hoarding so many materials, I didn't even realize. I've also kept duplicates of certain fish and bugs that I want to be made as models. I had to start putting stuff outside which sucks.
I decided to gift all my unwanted clothing to villagers and sell everything that can be re-purchased. That's my project for tonight actually.
I'm trying to pay off another loan as well to get a 5th room now so I hope that will open up some slots but I still feel we should be able to get extra space somehow.

Adding a 5th room will double your storage space. Make that your top priority. The main problem here is OP has managed to fill 1600 slots. Since you're only at 400, you might do better with 800, or even 1600.

I mostly sell anything that is reordeable. My storage is mainly used for my cute and sassy outfits, crafting materials and expensive bugs and fish for Flick's and CJ's visits.
