How do you prevent an animal from moving?

Talk to him over and over and over until he eventually hints that he MIGHT stay, and/or feels slightly guilty about it. He'll stay. Don't talk to him for the rest of the day after this - he'll stay. If you keep talking to him after that, he'll decide to move again.

It doesn't work in CF. You have to speak to the animals BEFORE they pack up. If you enter a house with packed boxes, there's nothing you can do.

And if you have more than one playable character you have to get all of them to talk to the resident saying not to move.

next time someone comes, DONT let any visitors talk to them, otherwise there is a chance they will move D:

I miss GC version and WW when all you had to do was mail them a piece of furniture and they would have to place it in there house :p which would make them un-pack and stay.

Hes gone already :[.Thanks for the info. Ill use it in the future.

Poncho, you will be missed.
