how far along are you in your island?

whether you time travel or not, where are you at in the overall progress of your island? do you have areas you consider completed?
what are some areas you want to improve upon? if things like the roost, a dream suite, or katrina come back in a future update, how will your island change?

as for my island, i'm so far from done, but the game did only come out a little bit ago and i reset my island multiple times... the only area i would consider "complete" is my campsite but i will still make small changes to it as i get new items or the seasons change and i want new flowers over there.

I'm not very far along at all. In fact, the Able Sisters' shop is being built tomorrow (today it had the regular tarp on it). I'm refusing to time travel, because that's all I did in New Leaf and while it got me far, I didn't have many friends to share the wealth with (although this time would be different, I'd like to experience it authentically before I jump into TT).

Honestly, the only thing I want to improve on right now is my flower production. It's not much but I also have no idea what "theme" i'm going for.

I’ve played over a hundred hours and haven’t even started with any major plans.

I’m decorating little areas here and there, but I consider most of them temporary for now. Before I get access to the terraforming tools and know which direction to take the layout, there’s only so much I can do.

It’s actually been really pleasant and rewarding somehow. I’m enjoying making small additions and seeing where the current geography takes me. It’s a very laid-back, organic pace of development.

my island is a mess right now. but i'm not sure what to do with it exactly so i've been just playing without decorating and terraforming that much. i'm thinking about moving a few buildings but i'm still not sure.

right now i'm just trying to get all bunny day recipes and eventually i think i'm gonna try to get the 5 star rating.

isabelle keeps telling me that the island is too big and that i needed to fill every spot with nook miles crafted furniture lol. so i think that's what i'll do for the next days

i've been trying to lay down some paths and change some rivers and making waterfalls but i haven't really been liking what i've done.

I'm extremely early so far. Made a lot of progress today though. Timmy and Blathers should each be building their facilities tomorrow. Also expanded my pocket space, and obtained every hairstyle.

I haven’t been time travelling, so I’ve been really liking the entire adding to my town/island bit by bit thing and seeing how it all comes together, without rushing it.

My ninth villager is moving in tomorrow - I’ve been doing mini neighbourhoods of 2 or 3 houses and giving it a name and putting a sign up with that street name. I’m planning to really make it feel like a neighbourhood with paths. I really can’t wait for paths!

I’ve got able sisters a few days ago so right now I’m just creating hybrids and trying to slowly get my rating up.

Not far haha. I'm purposefully waiting for terraforming because I'm going to redo everything. Everything is just haphazardly placed because I know I'll have to move it later. Couldn't even put my bridges down where I wanted because according to the game, the land shape was wrong. I have yet to unlock the Nook upgrade. I got a random move in from someone's void while I was trading yesterday. Going to build an incline today. I'm working on getting a 3 star rating now. Oh Isabelle, how can I please you? Please give me that last star....

Ugh really? That’s so annoying. Sometimes I really don’t like how this game directs you to do things a certain way. Especially because they didn’t include many rustic/natural items in the Nook Miles options.

I'm taking things slowly, for now I'm just trying to enjoy the process of getting to the 3 star ranking and going from there. I usually don't like to start heavily decorating my island until I at least have my house 100% paid off (weird habit of mine since City Folk lol).

I didn't check today, but last time I checked (yesterday) my island rating was 2*. I have 9 villagers and will probably stay that way for a while.

I do want to work on beautifying my island, but I'm not in a rush. I'm starting to think about ideas and trying to figure out how to put them together.

I just now have acquired most of the villagers I really wanted to have. I'm now moving my villager's houses to put them closer to mine. I am going to place all of our houses right along the shore. And then I'll be moving my shops & museum. I'm not going to TT unless I need to for a specific purpose going forward so that should take me a while.

I just unlocked terraforming last night and I just got my 10th villager today I'm already really in love with the way my town looks. Even though there's trash everywhere haha.

3 stars now. Have terraforming and removed all my cliffs yesterday. Upgrading to the first 1 million bells level home tomorrow.

I have to demolish all my bridges/inclines and start moving buildings around so that I can begin working on the layout that I want. Have just been enjoying my wide-open island today, and will be doing so for quite some time. I have a ton of gardening to do. :-]
