How much does music influence you?

I guess music influences me a lot. Most of the music I listen to are indies, so they're not confined to what corporates dictate as music that sells or otherwise. It's their hobby, which doesn't really net them a profit tbh, but the interaction and connection is really fun. It's not everyday that you hear opera, symphonic rock, language fusion, etc on the radio.

I like listening to music where oneself is not important. Journeys in astrology, the deep sea, fantastical worlds are much more interesting to me.

The exception is if a prolific artist uses their platform to say something important; such as gender issues or sexualisation in modern media in an engaging and thought provoking way.
That Persona allowed me to accept some things that I thought didn't suit my character, but then again, why should anyone judge me for what I like or dislike.

I've come to like the colour pink.
Not the cute, girly coloured pink because as a child, we were taught colours for boys and girls...
But the rebellious pink that stands up to oppression.

Ultimately, it's still pink though XD

Since December 2015, an influence that is almost immeasurable.
By the end of that year, my relationship with my parents, particularly with my dad, had declined so much. After acts of negligence, I literally listened to Nirvana just about every day going into about the first half of 2016 just to help get myself through the day, especially if my dad made a mean comment.
On ACC, I just had a major fight with another user, so listening to The Jesus and the Mary Chain has really helped me out right now...

This is an interesting topic. Music helps me get through hard times in my life. I struggle with anxiety, and there are some songs that calm me down. Some songs helped me get through emotionally abusive relationships. Honestly, a lot of songs I listen to have related to me at one point in my life. I listen to the lyrics more than anything when I listen to a song. I feel like songs are a way to express yourself. They are a connection from one person to another.
