How much would you pay for single amiibo cards?

I don't even know how much. Probably not a lot, like 5 or less depending on the card. I'm still confused about the card distribution. Does anyone know if some cards will be "rare" and others "common" or can we assume a pretty even, random distribution?

It's hard to say. I got a few repeats of certain cards, and other people got repeats of cards I never even saw in my packs.

On ebay you could get 3-5$ depending on who the villager. All Japanese special cards seem to go for 15-20$. It might sound ridiculous to some people but if you sell on ebay that's about the right price if you want to make a profit after PayPal and ebay take their percent. Oops re-reading your post it seems like your aware how much the go for. I think to many people just see it as $6 a pack means $1 per card, but that's not how you price things irl ><

This post is the only honest one. Anyone trying to buy a single card for $1 is just being ridiculous. After paypal fees, shipping and packaging fees, and the fees from whatever site you sell on, youd be paying to give the cards away. If people want $1 cards they can go risk buying a pack to get their favorite villager for that price imo.

I wouldnt sell less than $2 + ship or $3 + ship for your villagers. Npcs vary from $4 to $10 + ship. Dont get ripped off lol.

No worries~ I'd definitely also count the shipping fees as their own separate amounts. As someone who sells commissions, the paypal feels are also all too real, especially on some of the bigger ones. orz

There will probably be a saturation of duplicate cards for sale as more and more people buy them - so depending on the cards, it may be difficult to resell them for even $1-$1.50 - especially when the second round of cards are released and demand for the first round of cards dips a little bit.

True. I'm mainly looking to trade mine away (and it seems to be going well so far). This is more like a "just in case" sort of thing.

I'm glad to hear that trading is working well ^^. I hope that you can collect all the cards you are looking for as soon as possible :).

Um thanks i guess? You could have worded that differently y'know...

It may sound harsh, but if you actually expect someone to sell a card for $1-$2 then you're being cheap. But like most things, the buyers are always going to want to pay a low price, while the sellers are going to want to make at least some sort of profit {wether it be a little or a lot}. People are forgetting when you buy a pack of cards it's random, when you buy a card off someone though it's guaranteeing you get that villager , hence why people charge as much as they do.

Of course I am aware some people may have never used ebay before so really have no idea, so that's understandable. But if you've actually sold on ebay before or are at least familiar with it, then you're ridiculous for thinking $1 per card is actually a fair price.

I think it's believable to perhaps get some cards from people for 1-2 dollars provided they are buying multiple cards. If people use Ebay or something I would be expecting people to buy multiple cards at once and then get more of a deal, but yes I agree no one will want to just sell one card for really cheap over the internet.

it depends on the card.
i've sold two isabelle cards ( one for $15 ) and the other for $12. i guess if you're really desperate, people are willing to pay anything.
