How often do you look up the foods villagers mention?

I'm pretty sure villagers mention foods in new leaf so I'm gonna put this in general discussion. Sorry if I'm mistaken!

You know how villagers will sometimes mention a type of dish? Like they say they could've sworn they smelt their parent's "insert food here" so they called them. How often do you look up the dish they mention?

I try to remember to do so cause I love to cook so I like to see if it would be something I'd like to make and it's a good way to learn about other cultures too. Plus it's fun to make headcanons about villagers based on the foods they mention sometimes (at least for me). Mostly the first part though.

My crankies in New Leaf love to ask me whether I prefer mac and cheese or spaghetti, and when I choose mac and cheese they'll talk about how they like to eat it cold the next day or something. Whenever I find my uchi villagers in the fossil section of the museum, they will mention different types of foods. I know most of them, but I've had to look up a few. I also learned about kombucha from one of my villagers mentioning it.

I think I know some of the foods that my villagers talk about but I'll look some up if I don't know anything about that or if it's interesting to me.

Sometimes I do look up certain foods that they mention. A lot of them I've actually never heard of, so it does make one curious to know what it is.
