Ah, the Happy Home Network. A place to see what fabulous things people have crated using their own minds and a bit of creativity. It's also a place full of sadness, regrets, and pure self loathing.

Am I honestly the only one who looks at the creations in the Happy Home Network and ends up feeling horrible because I'll never do as good as these people?

The HHN is fun to browse, but sometimes, it's just a big OOF in my self esteem.

I know that feeling. As an artist, it hurts me to see people who draw much better than I do. But if I want to get better, then what I like to do is to look at art that I am inspired by and see if I can get any better. I do this not only in drawing, but also when designing houses in Happy Home Designer. It may feel very long to become as great as artists you admire, but it's the best feeling ever when you outdo yourself and create something amazing.

So to answer your question, I don't ever regret browsing HHN. The only times I ever regret browsing HHN is when I check the most popular houses, but only to find out that most of them exist solely for sharing QR codes.

i never browse the network... lmao that and miiverse seem like Really Gross and i'd never browse them lmao

Hmm I have taken to looking at other people's designs after I complete my own with a villager. I really enjoy seeing how other people interpreted it and it gives me ideas for redesigns in the future.

Same feeling for visiting some of these Japanese dream towns, and it's like what did you do spend every waking hour designing this thing??

Usually they inspire me a lot when I go to view them, give me lots of good ideas on what to do myself in homes with similar themes. But it also sucks because I know my houses will never be that popular, no matter how good I make them. =[

Everything is Japanese Anime girls or whatever. I could care less for any of that. However, there are some useful patterns to get from there.

Lmao I started checking out other user's creations after I got HHD and the regret came instantly. Same with dream towns in ACNL it just started to frustrate me more than inspirei me, haha.
But I still check out other creations from time to time.

This. I'm always looking on there and thinking "Gosh this is a lot to keep up with" and just end up switching the game off.

Wow quadruple post sorry!!

I personally don't ever feel that way when I see a nice house. It inspires me to do better and put my effort into my work. Don't be to hard on yourself. They probably didn't start off being great at designing either. Seeing other people's work might give you ideas on how to design in a way you haven't thought of.

So, how's that q-post?

I've never found amazing things in the Network, but on Tumblr...

I enjoy looking at players work. It gave me ideas on how to work with different spots on the map. I keep picking the big one with or without the river.

I make sure to look at the new player work and rate them. Drop by the Popular to see what new things they've come up with.
I got a nice deck QR code while visiting one of the house.

I always go there and nothing is there. I probably don't know how to use it but don't really care to.
