How to get more TBT?

Hi since I'm quite new to the this , I've got a reservation on a villager I am buying from someone as soon as she is in boxes (this is new to me)

But this morning my bells have gone down, last night they were 100 and now they are 40 odd.

1) do they go down when giving someone rating? Because I gave someone wifi rating last night.....
2) what's the best way of getting more (this is just because like I said I have a reservation on a villager and I don't want her to go i need 80 tbt

there's actually a guide on this!, if you post comments on threads you get more tbt but don't spam with useless comments, 'cuz the admins take away tbt, also if you post on basement threads you dont get any tbt!!
