I have a horse and deer villager (Ed and Bruce) who I desperately wanna give up, but neither wanna move out. How can I make them leave faster?!?! (I want something without time skip or cheating)

You gotta have patients, it's not cheating to time skip. Your best bet is be super close friends with them

The villagers who you pay the most attention to will wanna because they know/friends with you so they wanna move on

Villagers you dont no well wont want to leave. But sadly there is no automatic way to move them out. Unless you have an amiibo

Here's a comprehensive Villager Move-Out guide:

Here's the thing though...

The less friendship points they have, the higher the chance of them moving out. It may seem that those with higher friendships are more likely to move out. But that's because the game takes the average friendship points you have with ALL villagers. So, it's a bit of a dilemma. So I guess in the end, you might need to befriend them after all, so everyone has an even chance of asking to move out.

Also, take note a villager cannot ask to leave if:
- they are the last villager to move in
- they are the last one who asked to move out, but you said no
- they have a birthday coming up within 7 days
- the villager is in the process of relocating

If Ed and Bruce is one of the above, they will not ask to leave. Your best option is to kick them by replacing them with an amiibo, or a camper.

Villagers you have lower friendship with will have a somewhat higher chance of asking to leave, especially if you attain the highest level of friendship with all your other villagers. even though it is weighted a lot of it is still rng luck, so you should not get your expectations too high that the villager who asks to move will be guaranteed to be one of the ones you want, no matter what you do.

if you do not want to time travel (which is not cheating, but you do not have to do it if you don’t want) you just have to be patient. And talk to any villager who has a thought bubble to see if they are asking to move out. If a villager you don’t want to leave asks to move then you should not say ‘no’ which causes there to be a five day ‘cool off’ before a villager will ask again. Instead turn your game off without answering or saving and ignore the villager who was asking to move for the rest of the day. The next day a different villager will be asking to move.

I would SUPER recommend to time travel in order to get someone to move out. TT'ing really isn't cheating, and will just allow you to have more enjoyment to hunt for villagers you want. Definitely don't have to do the events, or anything while time traveling, just focus on getting those villagers to move out.

Time travelling is the best and fastest method to get a villager out fast. I can understand not wanting to do it, but it's not cheating. Of course you don't have to time travel, but if you want someone out quickly, it's a good way to go about it.

Otherwise patience is key here. If you would rather not time travel. Just make sure to keep an eye out for any villager with a speech bubble, and talk to them to see if they're asking to move out. There is also the option to use the campsite, or amiibo cards if you have some of the villagers you're wanting on your island.

Learn to live with them until they ask you to move out. If you are on a rush, you can always use amiibo cards to invite another villager to your island, and move out the villagers you don't want anymore.

Best thing to do is, if another villager asks to move out, turn the game off without answering them at all.

If you tell them no, you'll have to wait like a week or 2 until another villager will ask to leave.

If you don't answer them at all, the next day, the game will decide again on who is asking to move out. It might be the same person as the day before. Might not be.

But this way you'll have a someone ask to move out every single day.
