How to I make an animated signature?

I decided that I want to put something animated into what you people call a "siggy"? How to I post a gif into my siggy?

the same way you would insert a regular image into the post. find an animated image, copy and past the image url, and surround it with

tags! (the url would go in the middle of the tags).
