How to make villagers move out?

I accidentally TT'd forward and then back and this cause a villager to move out.
I TT'd a full month forward and instead of Tying foward again I TT'd back to my original date and I a villager wanted to move out. I guess it's still kinda like New Leaf? idk..

I will give it a try. Thank you ^o^

hi, can you elaborate more on your steps?

I was trying to get Zucker into boxes, I TT'd a month forward instead of a day, I loaded the game, saw Isabelle, quit the game before fully loading (cause I panicked), I went back to the original date + one day, got rid of Zucker, TT'd a day forward, got a new villager to move in, then I TT'd back to the original date, got another villager to move out.
A really long and complicated loop. I really think TT'ing forward 5-15 days, loading the game, and then going back a day or back to the actual date will make someone move out.

yes that's what I've always been told the 15 days then going forward a day until someone wants to move out!

ah ok! might try you method. thanks!

The method OP linked worked for me! After skipping 15 days, I just go day by day until I see someone with a bubble. It usually happens about the 2nd or 3rd day after but apparently it can take up to 10.

Just walk around and you see it right away or do you have to wait for a few minute for it to happen?

You should see it right away when you walk around. I started testing this method with 30 days ahead instead of 15 and it worked even better. About 80% of the time I had someone try to move out right when I TTd 30 days. Other times it was raining so I skipped day by day until someone asked to leave. Make sure to still look around on the days it's raining because they can still ask to leave! Try to set your time around 1pm for better chances too because they're normally out and about at that hour. If you go too far ahead TTing 30 days you can always TT back to current day and repeat.

Don't villagers need to check with you before moving out though unlike New Leaf where they could just move if you missed their ping?
Just curious as I've 10 villagers as of today but nobody had asked to move out yet and I'd hate to lose villagers I care about.

I will have to save the game before quitting everyday right?
