my babies birthdays are coming up and i want to do some special stuff to show them how special they are and also how much i love them but also show them to be grateful for there life..

any ideas greatly appreciated!

I don’t have kids but usually they like cake and balloons.

Sounds good to me.

Seriously though, I think it's very sweet of you to do that! :) I dunno how old they are, but if they are quite young, I guess a small party for them would be nice. Or maybe just a day out with them, doing things they enjoy? I know it's the pandemic and all, so some places might be too risky. You can always get some activity kits or something and bring the fun to your home, though. I think whatever you do, your kids will appreciate it! <3

Oh, but if they're teenagers? Money. As an adolescent myself, I can attest that this works 99.9% of the time.

I honestly think they’re referring to their pets but who knows.

I also agree with balloons and cake! Also are there any activities that they like? Toys they love? Maybe you could do a treasure hunt with their gifts! I remember when I was younger my dad gave me map and simple instructions to search for my present somewhere in the house and I loved it. Or like others have said, just having a special gathering or going to a special place (if possible!) to celebrate your bundles of joys’s birthdays. Whatever you end up doing, I’m sure it’ll be amazing as you sound like an amazing parent, I wish you the best of luck and I know you can do it!! <3

I thought about the idea of having other family members have their babies all play together if they have any. But I don't think it's a good idea during this time because babies do carry a lot of germs. But would I do is a time capsule and write down amazing things about them and they can read the letters when they reach a certain age. Most people would do it for their baby's 1st birthday, but maybe you can also do that for your 4-year-old too because not everyone will remember their 4th birthday when they are older.

For me growing up, I always appreciated it when my mom read me books or did an activity with me. Since it's wild out there and we can't just go to a kid's play center, I bet eating their favorite foods, reading their favorite books, and doing their favorite activities would be a great way to spend time together with them!
