My birthday is coming next up soon and I can't decide on what to get hyrule Warriors legends or splatoon help me decide from you're experiences of the games, also are these 2 popular games willing to go on sale later on if yes then I'll pick randomly I just hope to get both but they're both really expensive

First of all, Happy Belated Birthday :p
Second of all, I can't speak for Splatoon but I can speak for Hyrule Warriors Legends. I got the game about a week or so ago and it been fun playing it! I haven't played it in a couple of days due to a busy schedule and other things to do. However, I do aim to pick it up again and start playing! I never played a Zelda game before but I do love the variety of characters and the battling on the fields! The different modes makes it fun to! I'm still trying to figure the game out, but I think I can handle it :p

Splatoon's core is its multiplayer. If you want a fun multiplayer-based game, I definitely recommend Splatoon. Its single-player campaign is fun, but relatively short, due to its focus.

If you want a more extensive single-player campaign, I'd go for Hyrule Warriors Legend. It's potentially hundreds of hours of gameplay if you're going for full completion.

I'd only recommend Legends if you have a "New" 3DS model, though. The game isn't exclusive to the N3DS, but the amount of things on the screen is quite a bit of a load, and the normal 3DS models don't have the same processing power that the new ones do.

splatoon, in my opinion nintendo needs to let the legend of zelda franchise die already

I love Splatoon! Even more than I thought I would. Even just as a casual player it's lots of fun. Can't say much for the other game though as I've never really been into Zelda. That and I only own older 3DS XLs and have no intention of upgrading them. (No 'New' exclusive games that I just have to have and most exclusive virtual console stuff is on Wii U.

Hyrule Warriors Legends is one of the most addicting and fun games I've played in a while, and I play it all. If you're a fan of Zelda, never has there been a game that lets you play as your favorite characters like this :]

dapperlace has the best advice in this thread, I think. They both offer a bunch of hours of playtime, but one is SP and the other is MP. The only big differences apart from that is that one is a hack-and-slash and the other a shooter, and that one is portable while the other is not.

I'd personally recommend HWL, but that's mostly because I don't do well with online shooters on consoles, so the recommendation is more based on my (lack of) skill than yours. I also tend to prefer games on handhelds over games on consoles.

^^^^ So much agreeing.

Ultimately though in picking one I'd sooner toss my hat into the ring for Legends, ultimately Splatoon I haven't had fun with in a while. Even when I attempt to play the more laid back game mode Turf War, people are in there just completely stomping others. Like who goes 30 and like 6 consectively in Turf Wars? Also if your internet is bad, you're even less likely to have a good time since it does penalize you for "leaving".

Shoot, I forgot to take internet connection into account. This is pretty important with Splatoon.
