I am thinking of creating an island themed around One piece

A few years ago I started watching the anime about pirates called One piece of which I watched 200 episodes at most during my first month and in total it took 4 months for me to catch up on it.

I eventually read the manga as well which only took me a few weeks and I absolutely loved it.

In Animal crossing new leaf I eventually made a house themed around it with various rooms depicting environments you would expect from the series like a treasure room a dinner hall and a ship deck.


I will get Animal crossing new horizons on my 19th birthday 6-7 days after the game comes out here in Sweden and Europe and I am so looking forward to it.

If they add more customization options to furniture and things like that I can imagine making it look more like what I imagine it would look like.

Also this game takes place at sea on a deserted island so that theme would fit even better because of that .

When you get the game will you try doing the exact same thing that I had in mind or will it be something different?

This is a very very good idea, and I feel like with the ability to furnish outdoors, it'll be very possible. Also the many many more pattern slots means you can make some real nice flags and whatever other One-Piece-y things you can think of.

I'd quite like to make a rural japan themed town, or maybe just a simple cute village/cul-de-sac look.

There's so so many styles and things I'm itching to try out, it's gonna be difficult just having the one island per switch limit.

Actually, an island based around the themes of the first 3 digimon world games would be incredible (seeing the vending machine on the beach sparked this), if projects like the giant shoe are returning, then it'd probably be possible to make that quirky nature-cyberworld feel come through

I love that others are hoping to do some anime themed towns! I have a plan to do a Sailor Moon theme myself. I think you should definitely go for it. I’m sure lots of people would love seeing it! (I have a friend who loves One Piece and would likely be amazed if someone did an AC Island with the theme).

That idea sounds amazing! I probably won’t theme. I like my town to feel more natural and not so highly controlled as themed towns. I always loved the brightly coloured series of furniture in NL like the fruit, kiddie and ballon set, so I’ll probably stick to that and try to decorate my house with nice, bright, colourful furniture.
