Really. This game is so gorgeous. I am so excited to finally be able to play animal crossing on a big screen in HD. I am blown away by how good this game looks. Especially the museum. My jaw dropped when they showed it of in the direct. I will for sure be spending a lot of time there.

I though New Leaf looked great...I didn't realize just how good it could look. I am just so excited lol this game is like all I can think about.

I've got an 80" Promethean Board in my classroom with a Switch dock occupying one of the HDMI slots. My students are going to freak when they walk in and find me weaping like a baby playing this game. I've got a countdown to both the system and the game written on my whiteboard.

me neither - i’m absolutely thrilled by how stunning this game looks c:

Me though. Lol I announce to people at my work everyday how many days left until my game is out.

When my kids and I watched the Direct for the first time we were all amazed by the graphics, but when the museum came up on the screen we were all losing our minds!!! :)

Man, all I got is a 21.5 inch ASUS monitor. /:

I feel this, I think as time goes by every game will get better and better graphically. I remember after playing NL for a while and going back to check WW after years of not playing it and was shocked at the graphics difference. I was thinking how on earth did I play this for so long, everything seemed blurry!

Me too, I remember seeing the advert for New Leaf and being blown away by the graphics. Now when you compare NH to NL it looks sooo outdated - I can only imagine what the next game will be like!

I’m really excited to be playing such a high def AC game, it just makes it so much more immersive. Especially with the aurora boreal is!!

The game is drop dead gorgeous and I've totally fallen in in love with it ⁄(⁄ ⁄ˊૢ⁄ ⌑︎ ⁄ˋૢ⁄ ⁄)⁄ ♡♡♡

My absolute favourite thing about it is the lighting! I love how far games in general have come in recent years in terms of making lighting look gorgeous, and I'm so glad Animal Crossing isn't skimping on that at all. The way lighting now fills spaces dynamically really makes everything take on such a unique mood depending on what time of day it is and what lighting conditions are around you. This always makes me feel SO immersed in games and if there's one thing I will always welcome in Animal Crossing it's even more ways to make you feel immersed.

It?s so beautiful I want a new TV just to see everything on an even bigger screen and with more vibrant colours! T-T Can someone stop me from something I?ll probably regret?

I mean, televisions can be bought for relatively cheap these days. Heck, my monitor was more expensive than a 34" TV I spotted at a Walmart. I just opted for a 21.5" monitor because it had a 2ms response time compared to the TV's 5ms.

Just make sure its a purchase you're comfortable with.

This is my only issue with only owning the Switch Lite, but my brother has the original Switch console so quite possibly will see his when he hooks it up to the TV display when I next see him. I've actually considered jumping into debt for the original Switch now, ah!

Yeah, TVs are getting super cheap. You can actually get 55" TVs for less than $500 now. It's insane.

I don't remember when I bought my current TV. Maybe 12-14 years ago? But it's a 32" LCD flatscreen and cost like $1200 new at the time. It was a higher end TV at that time. TVs released today look even prettier than my TV, and are so much cheaper.

Eh, 500 is a lot for me still haha. Now the question is: are they getting cheap because they're getting easier to make or because they're cheating out on the quality? :b

You can find a 50" Vizio or TCL for around $200. It's not so much about being easier to make, but rather because they make so many, and have so many competitors. Both things drive prices down. You start to pay more when 4K and 8K UHD matter to you. Seeing as the Switch outputs at 1080p maximum, 4K and 8K are irrevelant (at least as it pertains to the Switch).

At a minimum, however, I think you'd want a TV that has 2160 (2160p (they also call this 2K or 2k UHD)) lines of resolution. Those can be had for less than $200, as well.

SAME! I'm so excited everything looks amazingggg I know my fiance is getting tired of me raving about it everyday haha

Things are a bit more pricey in Canada, sadly. I can find something reasonably priced, but I'd still rather have a monitor with a higher response time than a TV. It's not like the monitor is across the room like a TV would be, my switch and monitor I use for it is on the desk beside me, a couple feet away. 21.5 inches ends up feeling like 30 inches, lol.

Vizio and TCL tend to be in the low 200 to mid 300 range, the higher being the specs I'd prefer. Monitors end up being cheaper at that point.
