I don't want DLC

Would you want DLC added?

thats a good point, but ac has already got DLC through the amiibo cards, so its kinda already gone down that path

Yeah, I definately paid a lot for the cards and figures. More than I care to admit.

Hoping we?ll get dlc similar to Splatoon where we can get new clothes/furniture as free dlc regularly.

Then maybe a year or two later, a substantial paid DLC akin to the Octo Expansion which added a new story for the single player content. Not sure how that would work for AC but just something that adds on to the game and keeps it fresh.

As long as the base game has enough content to justify the $60 price tag and they didn?t skim on anything, I have no problems paying for new content. Paid dlc is a incentive for the developers to keep working on a game and it?s not the same as microtransactioms, which would ruin the series imo.

Yes - exactly this!

Paid DLC isn't bad just because you dont want to pay for it. It's a chance for developers to make something new for a game you love - something that couldnt be added unless paid for.

But we are paying for the game.
To me, that entails everything that goes with it.

Each to their own though.

Yeah, I vote no DLC either. It's just a money grab. Don't dirty our pure Animal Crossing game Nintendo!!

I work freelance. I get paid for a project. It's done and released. They want more stuff for the project - should I work for free?

As long as the base game feels complete, additional content is just that - additional, new content.

I don't expect people to work for free, but when I purchase a game, I expect that game to be in it's entirety.

Paid DLC down the road is not what I signed up for.

That's my opinion only.

Absolutely I want DLC, whether paid or not. I don't think they would make paid DLC but also even if they did, its not required for anyone to buy it.

I hope they add a lot of new holiday items especially, or have a rotation for the holiday reward items for participating in events. Getting the jingle and egg sets every single year started to grow stale. I'd love for them to release new holiday DLC yearly.

Yes. Sure! For meaningful content that is. I will not be paying for more storage, new haircuts, new clothes or furniture sets. I’d pay for a DLC that is meaningful. I want them to work on deepening the villagers interactions, not just tacking on cosmetic stuff I couldn’t care less about.

I wouldn't mind having DLCs in this game, as long as they are free or being cheap. Like, I would pay for major ones if they adding lots of new content.

I'd like DLC, but nothing important to the game. Maybe they could make some of the leaf ticket exclusive items (like the ones where characters show up if you place the item or the wigs) as cheap DLC recipes? I mean cheap, so like $0.50 or so per wig or item?

I certainly hope not. Any microtransactions, no matter how little the cost, would completely ruin the experience for me personally.

Microtransactions... bleh. Keep them for mobile games or remove them all together, they are a bane to gaming in general.

Like, I wouldn't mind optional DLC, paid or not, that get released after the game as optional extras. For example, the zodiac dog, roster, etc. Things that don't affect the game other than cosmetic changes. But I wouldn't want to, say, pay for every single piece of the Gracie furniture sets with real money.

personally i would love to have dlc in the game, especially if it includes new hairstyles, furniture, clothing etc. it?s a fun way to add new content and it?s optional so if you don?t want it you don?t have to get it

I would actually like a meaty ? expansion pack ? like Welcome amiibo!

Depends. As long as it's free or reasonably priced, I don't see why not. I honestly can't see Nintendo go the PC-route with New Horizons.

I wouldn't mind free DLC, but I'd honestly buy any DLC Animal Crossing came out with. But I don't see any DLC coming out soon after the game does, there's too much to do in the beginning of the game to worry about extra with rebuilding an island and all that. DLC has always been free for animal crossing, I wouldn't think ti would change now.
