I got an animal crossing switch! It's a long story I'll leave in the spoiler for anyone that would like to read it 
So, I initially had no plan of getting the switch. My boyfriend placed a preorder on it at eb games, the Canadian version of gamestop. He was told he could change the preorder later to a copy of the game and theyd sell the switch unit if we no longer wanted it. So, March 13th rolls around and neither me or my boyfriend have enough money to afford the animal crossing switch. We decided to go to eb games, despite the corona virus, and cancel our switch preorder and change it to the game. So my boyfriend and I pulled up to the mall masks and everything ready to let go of the animal crossing switch. BUT WAIT. I got insanely lucky. The weekend of the switch coming out, the specific eb games I preordered at was doing a switch trade in promo where you bring in your old switch and they give you 300 in store credit. What they didn't know was I got my original switch on sale for 300 so they paid me full price for it lol. Because my boyfriend had preordered the animal crossing switch, they told me that I could bring my old one in and trade it, and then pay the rest of the cost and taxes on my credit card. So that's how I got my animal crossing switch!
