Axes are only 500 bells each, so get a lot of them and try everyday.

The problem is that you only get one chance a day, and there is a high likelihood she will take your axe, after awhile that adds up.

She almost always at least gives me my axe back. I like Serena, but I think its because of all my lucky items

Despite what everyone says about luck, although that is important, the more you talk to her, the better she likes you!
