Hi hi, everyone:) as the days get closer to March 20, retailers are now starting to get copies in to sell, and I made a pre-order way back in early February with Target to get the game with the journal (older sis wanted it) and says that it has an estimated delivery of the 23-26 of this month, I have checked once a day before I?ve gone to bed to see if it has changed but it still remains the same.

I?m wondering now if I should I keep my Target pre-order or just cancel and get it pre-downloaded off the e-shop, I haven?t been charged yet.

hmm, you didn't preorder it in store, right? i think if you preordered in store they /might/ have got it in time, but it really depends with how things are going with distributers lately. unfortunately with the virus panic, a lot of mailing couriers are being delayed, globally as well so this could have effected the delivery estimation~ you can always try emailing target or calling in a store to find more information about when stocks will be arriving. if the wait ends up being too long for you, you can cancel if you prefer and do a digital download!

Man, this is one of the reasons I changed my mind and am getting the digital version; the thought of having to wait on a mail delivery or run into it not having arrived (or being sold out) at the store just made me anxious. Normally I’m patient, but this may be the one release I want in my hands immediately, with no delay possible.

Since you have already pre-ordered it, I wouldn’t cancel it now. You can always see if they have it on time, and then make a decision to digitally download and return the physical version if it doesn’t.

If you still want the journal, but don't want to wait for shipping... try going to Target at 8am on release day (if you can). They will be getting a limited quantity of journals for in-store purchases. Then you can either cancel or just return the one that comes in the mail.

This. You can actually return stuff from Target.com to any Target store too, if you don't feel like dealing with mailing anything back.

If you have the money to spare and you want to get the pre-order journal, I recommend keeping your pre-order and having it delivered to you. Buy the eshop version you can play on launch on the 20th, then just return the physical copy unopened to any local Target and they should just credit you the money back for it c:

Otherwise, if you don't care too much about the journal, you can just cancel the preorder at Target and just get it on the eshop. I wanted to get a physical copy but I work all day on the 20th and by the time I get off work most places will be closed, and the mail in my area doesn't come until 8-9pm, so I opted to get the digital version.

Yeah I honestly don?t really care for the journal too much as I?m going digital for and don?t have much space on my bookshelf (and my sis is the one that wanted it), I mean, it would be nice to have it, but if it?s delayed I?ll cancel (I?ll know in a few days, it?s all a matter of waiting) and I have no problems waiting until later that day to play

The target I picked doesn?t allow in-store pickup for some reason (and any of the surrounding from drop downs, they?re all marked unknown)

Yeah I guess if it doesn?t change a few days before hand (of released) I guess i?ll do this if worse comes to worse.

Yeah, online, and this covid19 deal is really worrisome, as there wasn?t an option to pickup in store when I placed the order on the 5th, Ive already talked to them and the person I got didn?t know too much about it, so I thanked them for their time...digital is a last resort if it comes to that

the virus is a huuuuge deal! wash hands 25/7 and stay clear of anyone sick they say to be super cautious. cleaning with lysol, bleach or clorox will remove it so that's helpful info! aside from that bit, best of luck to you in obtaining your copy! if all else fails, digital it is. if you're someone that LOVES physical copies, you could always buy an empty case online like ebay just to have! good luck <3

Yes, thanks so much, like you said if worse comes to worse, digital will be a thing I’ll have to do, and switch cases are a thing and can buy it at a later date (I like have physical copies, nice to have copies of games)
