I have a really fun idea for New Horizons

I really like Crazy Redd. I feel like there is some mystery there. He runs a black market selling counterfeit goods. I feel like they need to give him a bit more personality or add a family for him like they did tom nook. Honestly adding some nephews or kids for him that straight up pick pocket you randomly in game like taking furniture and random things out of your inventory would spice things up a bit (nothing important like tools and favorited items obviously). Maybe even like a couple hundred bells. I feel like it would really spice up the game.

(I know Nintendo would like never do this but I just think it would be a neat idea to play around with)

I like Redd, even though he's an outright criminal who should be doing ten to fifteen for forgery and grand larceny.. so why not add an entire family of up and coming criminals/family members for ole Redd.

Maybe his kids could be pickpockets, and if you catch them at it, you get a special prize.

They actually did that? Jeez. I only played the game briefly so I never got to see much of the villager behaviours besides their rudeness lol

Yeah. You'd talk to them and reject a clearly unfair a trade, then they'd be all ''Well I'm taking it and there's nothing you can do about it!" And then they'd take your stuff out of your pocket, and leave you with some miserable item then run of singing. I'll prob. never forget the first time it happened, honestly, I never wanted to punch Bluebear's lights out so hard in my life. It's why to this day I hesitate to ever let her in my town.

I do. Bluebear took my slot machine, and I was super upset because it took me FOREVER to get and I ended up crying over it, but there was nothing I could do. So I learned never to talk to them if I was holding anything I wanted to keep. lol, I'll probably never forget that.

Honestly now that you bring it up I vaguely remember that. I haven't played that game in like 12 years so my memory is foggy. I think they should bring it back though. Nothing ever really happens in the newer animal crossings unless it's like a holiday or something. I just want some drama. Let some fox kids rob 1000 bells from my pockets and if you catch them they give it back and some extra or something but if you don't want to bother chasing them it's just gone. I want drama! Heck, even let them rob my house. I don't care lol. I mean you can buy back things from the catalog. I just think it would really spice things up if you had to worry about if you're carrying around like 100k bells in your pocket it's more likely they'll stop you. Or to just go in your house and your radio is just straight up gone and there's nothing you can do.

Maybe even Redd would have items stolen from your house for sale in his shop and you could like make him sell it back for cheap.

As mentioned before we have had villager antics like this haha. Maybe something like it will return if they change the villagers partly back to the older style. I will say though, I do enjoy not having my really nice new items or my bells randomly yoinked because I wanted to chat with my villagers! I feel like the tent villagers are a nice balance to this because you know they are gambling in advance.

Why do I just find out years later that the villagers in the GC title were actually thieves?

Anyway, since I do like Redd, I would find it nice if he gets someone on his site, whatever it's a family member or a good friend. I could imagine a younger brother/sister or cousin who would also like to have a own shop in the future and get teached by Redd how to run a business (of course in his way). Besides, I wouldn't mind if Redd's new sidekick would steal stuff out of your pocket, as long as you get the items back for a reasonable price. Although it would be funny if could prevent it that they steal from you, like if you catch them in the right moment, they run away shocked and try it again later.

I was about to say that this is way too dark and gritty for AC, then I read that it used to be a thing in the games. Lol!!
