I hope Nintendo brings more home options for island residents in the future.

I know a lot of you are interested in building your characters into little neighbourhoods on your island and that got me thinking about ways that we could add more options.

Something I though would be really cool is if when you place two islanders homes side by side, you get the option to either build them separately or have the home combined into a cute little duplex for both of the islanders moving onto your island.

This way we would have more variety in terms of home design on the exterior.

I also thought it would be really cool if we could build little apartment buildings that could house up to 4 or 6 residents. When you enter the apartment you could have a directory of the residents who are moved in and which apartments you could find them in. Each floor could have 2 doors that go into 2 different residents apartments and a staircase that brings you up to the next floor for the next residents.

I feel like bringing these kinds of options would be great for allowing more residents into your island without overcrowding the island itself.

Duplex wouldn't have any issues, since their basically just homes that are wider with two doors, but I could see issues with the apartments in terms of proportion compared to regular homes.

Right? Think of how much more customization and villagers it could bring to our islands.

Great ideas! Unfortunately I don't see that happening. Who knows what could happen in the next AC game though.

Apartments sounds like a cute feature, but I don't think it'll happen anytime soon, if ever. I'd also like to see hotels instead of campsites were you can occasionally interact with new villagers and possibly convince them to move into your town or control were random villagers move in before they get the chance to plot their homes without your knowing.

I actually thought it would be smart if Nintendo allowed the campsite to be upgraded into a hotel so that many more amiibo could be scanned to have more visitors.

I agree that the campsite should be upgradeable.

Turn it into a camper at the very least!
Maybe the villager could be like the RV villagers and have a couple of their signature, or new, items to play games to win or buy outright.

I would love if they made it a camper, it really ties in Pocket Camp.

I must admit, during my PC experiment I did like the camper (mine was camo), and have always wanted a car and boat in AC.

Im convinced that their will be a boat in AC:NH. The dock just seems out of place on its own, you can fish from anywhere on the island, so having a dock really doesn't matter unless its going to be used for something...like a boat...

I love having so many villagers in my town and interacting with them but I suppose Nintendo is not thinking like me...

umm resorts? a resort should so exist in this game that would be amazing. i mean its basically a hotel but a with tropical swing i guess. i love the idea of apartments though

If you want a city, just make your island as cramped as possible. LOL

I don't expect it, but I'd really love to be able to customize villagers' houses. That was fun to do in HHD. Normally I wouldn't see this in a main AC game, but they're giving us so much customization. We even get to choose where villagers' houses go.

It'd be nice if we could do both inside and out.
