No impossible StreetPass badge!

I loved the showcase, but it's so annoying knowing even if I finish the rest of my badge collection and maybe even my town before AC Switch comes out that I'll still probably be missing the gold StreetPass badge.

Hopefully badges and the showcase - maybe with anyone you've played with rather than people you StreetPassed - will stay, I just really hate that I won't be able to complete my badge collection in ACNL.

Ugh, I'm glad that the StreetPass badge is gone. It was already hard enough for me to even
get the bronze one, getting the gold one was like a impossible task for me in all those years.

I don't really care for the showcase to be honest and wont miss it if it's not in the new game
anymore. I rarely used it (especially because I never got so much StreetPass = almost empty
showcase the whole time) and it would be nice to see Digby in a new job rather then seeing
him standing outside 24/7 in all weather conditions the game has to offer again. Although I
like the idea you mentioned that the showcase could work with people you just played with
instead of Streetpassed people sounds not bad... (Just wish that, if the showcase come
back like this, poor Digby gets a little house where he can stay till the player wants to visit
the showcase. I feel bad for that guy standing the whole time outside like he does in NL, lol.)

I would like if Digby was involved in the construction of pwps. It'd be nice if once lloid was paid off, you could see digby working till the next day.

That always felt just tacked on to me; I wonder what they will do in place of the showcase as well.

Honestly I kind of enjoyed the Showcase, even if I didn't visit too often, so I hope they keep it in some way. I think I was actually fairly close to completing the Streetpass badge in my old town, but I understand not everyone wants to take their 3DS out in public so I think its removal is for the better.

I thought it was unfair to make us do a lot of streetpassing to get a badge. But I don’t get very many badges anyway. But yeah, that’s one less ridiculous achievement down the drain.

The trailer makes me think the Happy Home Academy will play more of a role in AC Switch, so I imagine Digby will at least get more of a role. I'm not sure that role won't involve standing outside 24/7, rain or shine, though.

Agreed. I don't get too many streetpasses these days and even before then. The badges were a nice feature though.

Badges absolutely need to stay, but I agree about the whole Streetpass thing. Unless you lived in Japan or a major city elsewhere, you really had no chance of earning that one outside of buying another 3DS.

I actually really loved the streetpass thing even though I literally never got streetpassed but when I did I would be happy to come check out their house. There was a guy in class that I used to streetpass every single day and I could not work out just WHO it was omg. his mayor was named Kanye from his town west. bless him :')

I think it would be awesome if it would still be included on the switch but you know instead of streetpass it would be people you've played with before like the island bc y'all know online is where it's at

Oh god, I feel this so much.... I've streetpassed a whole three people who own this game since I've started my first town. Doesn't help I get even less and less street passes as time goes on. I still carry my ds with me most of the time just in case, though.

I'm so jealous of my friends who've been to cons and gotten a ton of street passes lmao, I'm too poor for that.

I agree with Blu. Unless you were in those places, went to a Con, or was in Uni... Your chances of getting a Streetpass was low. (Or if you live somewhere in the middle of nowhere, you'll be having one empty space in your Badge Card.) Getting rid of that badge, as thus giving Digby a new role is the best thing that can be done.

I agree with the consensus so far: I hope badges come back, but that they cut Streetpass ones. Streetpassing is a nice feature, I guess, if you live somewhere with people who do it, but there's no skill. The badges are literally just a reward for living in a densely populated area when you probably already had a reason (school, job, living with parents, etc...) for being there in the first place. The arbitrariness of the Streetpass badge requirements stands out like a sore thumb compared to all of the other badges that require you to play the game diligently to earn them.
