I think it could be kinda cool if one day the TBT header tree could be a palm tree. It's really exciting to see cherry blossom trees, winter pine trees, etc., when the seasons change - and now that we know the New Horizons will have a tropical/island theme, it could really cool to see a palm tree (or even hibiscus bushes) up there as the only tree variation we haven't seen. It might also be cool to have a sand background instead of the triangle grass to match it.

I know TBT isn't necessarily huge on having themes to select from in the bottom left drop menu, but how cool would it be to be able to switch between this green summer/spring theme and a tropical sand and palm tree theme!!


It's definitely a lot to ask from the staff to illustrate something like this, but I hope it can be considered one day!

Not to make more work for the staff, but having a palm tree banner during the summer would be pretty cool!
Instead of having themes maybe they could even just have the green tree banner up for June and a palm tree banner up for July or something? They could share the summer time!

Although it's worth pointing out that the tree is actually from the City Folk tree design, we never updated it for New Leaf and nobody's ever noticed or pointed it out oddly haha.

I mean I knew it was from City Folk but didn't care. After so many years though yes I feel like many people can appreciate a visual upgrade.
