I miss being able to pick up flowers

I'm doing the tedious task of moving ALL my flowers, and it's proving to be quite a chore. I really miss being able to just pick them up with my hands, and also store them in the storage. Now, you can only place them around town. My town is littered with them, which makes it kinda hard to move everything. HOWEVER. It's a decent sacrifice so that strangers cannot steal them anymore. I get it. They can only steal the bud for materials, but as long as they're not my bff, they can't actually take my flower. Which is really nice. But why can't I store it in my storage Poo. Lol

The fact that shovels break make moving your flowers all the more tedious... But I'm happy paying that small price in return for strangers not being able to steal my precious hybrids. So I guess I'll deal with it.

I like the new gardening thing with the shovel and how u can dig em up and move them........ I cant even remember how it was in NL but I like this better although I didnt realize u could not store them

In NL you can just step over a flower hit the pick up button and they'd be in your pocket. Now if you do that in NH it picks the buds but keeps the flowers rooted, which again, is good for deterring people from stealing your flowers if they come to your island for trades.

It's still tedious to me especially if the shovel ends up breaking.

Realizing I couldn't store them annoyed me so much that I ended up selling all of my flowers except two of each color of hybrids in order to create future hybrids when I need them, especially because I can just buy the bags of non-hybrids from my shop/a friend's shop.

Honestly being able to move your flowers without a shovel is something I really miss :/
I find myself forgetting a ton and picking the bulbs by accident, or my shovels breaking when I'm trying to move a ton of flowers... though I am happy at least I don't have to worry about people stealing my flowers, but then again it didn't happen to me too much back in New Leaf

I get that it's better this way in the long run since they can no longer be trampled and destroyed or stolen by random people but yeah, having to move them with the shovel is SO tedious especially since having my shovel constantly break takes me out of what I'm doing and kills my relaxation. I wish that at the very least they stacked and/or could be stored since not being able to store them annoys me to no end.

I agree that it's annoying to move them now, but I do like that they can't be destroyed or wilt or stolen.

yeah it is tedious moving flowers around now, but i'm willing to take the trade of them not being able to be destroyed or taken by strangers. once my town is relatively "set" there'll probably less moving of flowers so i'll deal with it for now.

The petals get destroyed but the stem of the flower stays and it grows back, so flowers actually can't be permanently destroyed now! Sadly I've heard that golden tools still eventually break but I don't know for sure if that's really true, though.

I prefer these flowers since I can't accidently destroy them by fleeing a wasp or something and they can't be stolen. I do wish we could store them though.

The real culprit of this is the fact that tools break. I wouldn't even care otherwise. I like the fact that they're rooted and can't be stolen.

I wish we could buy a special shovel to move them that wouldn't break and maybe have it be a shovel only for that. Like the landscaping stuff.

I was helping my sister with her town and I shovel up two flowers before my shovel breaks. So pause make another three shovels. I just wanted to give her flowers ahhhhhh.
