I wish we could put Garlands, Wall Items and Rugs outside...

So to be honest I find the Halloween items a bit disappointing, one small thing that would make them better imo would be if we could place the spooky garland outside (not just on doors). Imagine if we could hang it over a fence/cliff edges/panels/inbetween trees etc. to decorate our pumpkin farm areas.
On Halloween night the Town Hall has a spooky garland going from the wall to a street lamp and it looks soooo cool!!!

That said it's not just garlands that need to be allowed outside; rugs would be amazing for making picnic areas, and wall items like the plants would make boring cliff edges much nicer.

I love the idea of garland. It would be really cute for not just Halloween, but Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, and other holidays as well. I agree with wall decorations and rugs too. I would love to hang lights from cliff sides to light up the area at night.

It's technically still possible to do rugs outside with custom designs, but still, I completely understand the desire for the real thing.

I’ve been wanting to use the magic circle rug outside since i got this game. Right after I traded for it though, I found out sadly that you can’t display it outside :/. indoors you can’t have them overlap each other like in HHD. I’d like to put some of the wall items on the ground or hats on the ground or on a surface without the mannequin.

I keep thinking of how I'm going to decorate an area outside, go to get a rug for it, and then remember they can't go outside. I got used to it in Pocket Camp (and Happy Home Designer also let you, I think).

Being able to put wall items on cliffs would be super cute for the hanging terrariums! And so would all your ideas for the garland, especially on fences.

Before I got the game I actually thought you could put wall items on simple panels, pretty disappointed when I found out I couldn't ^^;
I would absolutely love to hang wall items on my simple panels, it would definitely bring life to many parts of my island.

Yeees, I agree!. I had a couple ideas with my island where it involved an archway with stringing lights for a night market/bazaar or hang some garlands everywhere like on trees [because I thought it was possible to do that but I was wrong]. I would love if we could do that as it would give the islands a magic effect and also expand our creative possibilities.

Data size is different this time, people place too many rugs and then you program cliffsides and everything to work with wall items, you'd lag up your game pretty fast.

This is such a cool idea, I wish they'd implement it! The spooky garlands are so cute. If it's *too much* for them to make it possible to hang them on fences and the like, they could put them between two posts like they do with a clothesline and stuff.

But the rug thing.. I don't understand why they made it so they couldn't be put outside. Like, not even welcome mats! It's such a hassle to make all these different mats and blankets and take up slots in our custom design pockets when it could easily be resolved by being able to place mats down.

We don't know that that's a rug. It looks more like a decoration.

The feathers on it is what confuses me. Perhaps they did this on purpose so that nobody can tell right away if you can use rugs outside now or not? If it's really just a piece from the new set, then it's a really weird one...

Vinyl sheet doesnt exactly scream indoors to me. I honestly thought it could go outside when i started playing.
