“Assorted” Collector
Before you read this entry, I reccomend that you read this entry to understand my biome idea I have for the next game. You should also read these entries to see what items I would like to see next game.
This Idea Blog entry emphasizes the group mechanic of my game ideas. If you aren't aware, some items are sold more frequently while some are rarely sold as a way to encourage trading. I have my idea of what items are in certain item groups. You actually get to choose what items you want to see more frequently, but they depend on biomes. Each biome has their associated group. I listed some numbers on how often you get some items, but they are outdated as they are errors in my idea.
There are four item groups according to my game idea. Group A items are the items associated with the Jungle biome. Group B is associated with the Forest biome. Group C is associated with the Desert biome. And Group D is neutral as all towns have them equally frequently.
Frequency:
Percentage breakdown of other items sold:
If you have good Feng Shui or good luck during the Luck ordinance, you have a higher chance of getting items from the rarer groups, but beware. This has no effect on what the stores sell.
The group mechanic applies to the following areas:
The asterisks mean that luck has no effect on them, so the best way to obtain items is by online trading.
Items from each group:
Now that I'm done talking about frequency, I will talk about what items go under each item group in terms of the group mechanic. The five types of items are Group A items, Group B items, Group C items, Group D items, and items with no associated item group. It's only about the frequency of items. In each list, I will list entire series, themes, and sets, along with the tops, bottoms, dresses, headwear, facewear, and jackets and coats, based on HHA theme. Last, but not least, I will not name loose items, but I can say this much. All loose furniture, carpets, and wallpaper sold at the Nookling's stores will be split evenly into four groups so each item group has their own loose furniture.
If you are wondering, the Ice Series, Mush Series, Snowman Series, Fall Forest Theme, Ski Theme, and Winter Village Theme are all earned from snow people, mushroom hunting, or digging up cracks. I will go over more on this in the future, but today, I'm only talking about what item groups have what items.

Frequency:
- Group A - this item group is the primary group in the Jungle biome, the secondary group in the Desert biome, and the recessive group in the Forest biome.
- Group B - this item group is the primary group in the Forest biome, the secondary group in the Jungle biome, and the recessive group in the Desert biome.
- Group C - this item group is the primary group in the Desert biome, the secondary group in the Forest biome, and the recessive group in the Jungle biome.
- Group D - in all selections, only one Group D item is sold per day. The rest in each selection are items from groups A, B, and C. So yeah, only one Group D item can be sold per day. However, Group D items are sold daily. So they are quite easy to get. Here are the selections that only one Group D item is sold per day:
- Furniture
- Carpets and Wallpaper
- Tops and Dresses
- Bottoms
- Headwear
- Facewear (formerly accessories)
- Jackets and Coats
- In all towns, regardless of biome, all items in each selection that are not Group D items are from one of the three main groups. Regardless of how many items are sold in a store or selection, only one item from the recessive group can be sold per store per day, and if you're lucky enough, you can get more than one recessive item, but rarely. Items from the secondary group are sold more frequently than the recessive items everyday. Some days have one in each store, some have two, but on one thirds of the time, no secondary item is sold at a store. The items from the primary group are the most frequently sold.
Percentage breakdown of other items sold:
- Primary group items - 60%
- Secondary group items - 30%
- Recessive group items - 10%
If you have good Feng Shui or good luck during the Luck ordinance, you have a higher chance of getting items from the rarer groups, but beware. This has no effect on what the stores sell.
