So three times yesterday that happened to me! I never thought of trying reset - I haven't really done that much. Do I just close without saving, open again and run past the same villager? Will they always ping again?

Btw, thanks so much for all the help you have been giving me on this forum. Tbt users are awesome!! :D

They will, yeah! When you load up your mayor your town saves before you've stepped outside your house, so it's already been decided which villager is going to ping you to move. Turning off will refresh their ping if you like, so if one time they say they'll stay, another time they might say they'll leave provided you haven't saved again when they said they were going to stay.

Yes, you turn off the game without saving if a villager you want out changes their mind about moving :) I'm not sure if they ping you right away each time you reset and run past them, though.

Yup, you can use that to make sure that the villager moves if you want it to.

Otherwise, after you reset, just ignore them till they're in boxes, that way they dont' have the option to change their mind c:

Thank you all so much for answering! That is awesome! I was getting so frustrated, now I know what to try, and why it works. Didn't know about the auto save when the Mayor steps out the door. That explains a lot of time things. Thanks again. :)
