I know I've had some other wants but these are ones I really want to see in the next game.
They're giving Wii U some of the worst software in its history the last few months, and I've wondered if that's their way of saying we're moving on to the NX soon, so here's some parting gifts! Anyone think that Amiibo Festival is a real Animal Crossing game? Clearly it's not. It is the only one on Wii U, and given the time it takes to develop these things, we're probably not looking at the next game in the series for a good year or 2 (really doubtful this year given they'd only just now be starting on it after HHD/AF was finished).
They're likely to bring it out on NX, with the kind of power it has, and if they do it right, making a handheld variant that like numerous polls here show over 90% prefer, then they'd retain many of the New Leaf/Happy Home followers. Look at that for a minute, HHD has sold over 2 million copies, and it's a handheld game. Yet again the numbers back up the majority WANT a pick up and go style game on handhelds. I think for that reason alone they had ND Cube do Amiibo Festival, which really looks like a thrown together game the more I play it. Happy Home Designer looks like it had some effort put into it with the Main Street and such developing as you develop projects along it. AF is just too open to seem like that, even with redesigning it with HHD houses and such. My vote is NX. A launch game? Depends when the system comes out. This year, obviously no, not enough time to develop a game (under a year from AF launch), next year, possibly, but still doubtful they'll have enough time to have polished it.
i think we wont be able to choose where the villagers move to or move them either, i just hope they bring back the signs
for me i want them to make the town bigger/ make everything look bigger so it looks like a forest or however you style your town
Well, Nintendo started the development of New Leaf right after City Folk was finished. That took 4 years for new leaf to be created. I'm guessing that if Animal Crossing is going to be on the NX we will see it in about 3 or 4 years. The longer it takes the better the game will be.
I'm really hoping for a larger variety of fruits, the ability to "blacklist" a certain area from a villager moving in, and the ability to do local Co-op. Additionally, the ability to choose the size of a town is also something I've wanted since the GCN days.
