Hey! So I know some people really love Isabelle, but I actually wish I could choose a villager to run resident services instead of her.
If you could pick anyone to run Resident Services and read the daily announcements for you, who would you choose?
I, personally, would choose Katt because she’s my favorite villager. I think she would be really entertaining to hear the announcements from.

I think I would like to have my villagers rotating in terms of the announcements, actually! I think it would be interesting and shake things up. Plus, I'd want to play every day to see who's doing the announcements that day! I would imagine Ruby saying: "Hey guys, do you know what day it is? Well, today is [month/day/year]! It's also [villager]'s birthday today!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, [villager]!!! You better be there at the party, or ELSE! Ruby signing off, bye now!" Or something like that. XD

Does myself count xD Id love to run my own island, and come up with daily news. It should be my island after all, Im the one making it look pretty, and all that other stuff we gotta do.

If not then one of my lazies, like Sherb, because it would be really funny to see them do that. See Sherb talk about the latest insects or how he thinks everything is fake, or other conspiracies he has.

I would pick Apollo since I know he's a cranky villager he would just get through the important announcements quickly and say "Okay thats all the news and now I can finally relax" What I mean getting straight to the point and not bring up their personal life. Yes yes I know they got rid of that, but Isabelle still repeats that during Sunday Afternoons.

Not really a specific villager, but more like a specific personality.

It would be really interesting (and probably cute) to hear a lazy villager doing the announcements. Rather than actually telling who's the visitor or an event, they would probably mention that they are supposed to say something but forgot. Then proceeds to talk about food or bugs.
I also would love to hear a cranky. I could just imagine them getting directly to the point just to get it over with. "Someone's at the campsite." or "Leif's here." and that's it.

Yes I thought of this, I’d actually like the announcements daily if I didn’t need to hear about the sock that’s forever lost in the washer.

I would put my favorite villager, Mac, in charge. I see him not being very professional but it doesn’t matter. I think he’d do a great job anyway!

I really love Isabelle, and I'm glad she's there to read the announcements! Instead of having a villager read the announcements, I'd love to have Isabelle invite different villagers to be a guest speaker on random mornings.

For example, if Label is visiting, maybe you'd see Isabelle and Label doing the announcements together. Isabelle could say something like, " It's 08:30 AM on March 13 2022 and today Label is visiting the island, and she has a special announcement". Then, Label might announce over the speaker that she's looking for inspiration for a fashion project, and announce what theme she is interested in seeing today.

Regular island villagers could also announce news, like a certain birthday, that they saw someone on the beach, or they could announce something new that we haven't seen before (e.g. what side of the island the DIY bottle is, or something arbitrary but seasonal, like a type of bug they've seen).

Anyway, those are my thoughts! It would be cute if there was a guest announcer, but I love Isabelle and don't mind her morning announcements. 😊🌟

i would honestly choose goldie. she doesn’t currently live on my island, but i had her as my camp helper in pocket camp and thought it was cute, so i’d love to give her a somewhat (not really) similar role in new horizons. but, if i can only choose from the villagers i currently have, i’d go with either margie or cyd.

This is more or less my exact thoughts on this. Given how the personalities act in the different roles on HHP, I'd love to see a lazy doing the announcements.

Being a cat person I would love to have Kiki run the resident services. She is sweet little kitty with a lovely and friendly personality which would be purrfect to have sitting at the front counter of the resident services. Plus whenever my islanders are having drama which is a rare thing to happen Kiki always wants to help whoever is upset by giving them a gift :)

I think my boy Alfonso should run Resident Services. Him doing the announcements would be amazing because he would get so easily sidetracked and start talking about how hungry he is.
I also feel like nothing would get done, but that's OK because he's a precious boy :3.

I would choose Eloise because she would not be happy to wake up so early in the morning for the announcements.
She would be constantly mad, somewhat sleepy, and probaly she would say lots of fun things for the player to laugh.

I actually just don't want the morning announcements. Id prefer if there were like a TV show if you used a TV in your house or something like that, and I guess Isabelle is fine for those.

I'd love to give it to an uchi/sisterly villager. I think they'd take the job very seriously and therefore do a great job. Uchi villagers like to take care for others and take up leadership roles from what I've seen so I think this is a role they'd rather enjoy. I think Paula or Pashmina in particular would be the best fit

This! The personalities doing the jobs on HHP are a treasure and if that kind of dialogue were to be applied to the announcements, it would be great.

There is already dialogue for the visitors for each personality, so having that appear from time on time instead of Isabelle would be ok for me. Bianca telling everyone to hit Gulliver with a branch at the start of the game is top-tier dialogue.

i think it'd be fun for one of the villagers on your island to do the announcements each day. i.e if you have rolf on your island, he could do it the next day, then maybe diana if shes on your island too, etc. kind of like what the older games did.

I would love to have Knox reading the announcements. Bonus points if they were all customized to whatever character they are, rather than by personality (which I know is sadly not feasible with hundreds of villagers). A cranky would still be so much fun:

"Also, C.J. is here today. Talkin' something about those newfangled stream things that the youngsters never stop going on about. He's also looking to buy fish, maybe make you a model for them. In my days, if we wanted a model, we had to make it ourselves! You young'uns have it so easy."
