If you could take 1 villager personality out the game, which one would you choose?

It’s sad to say because I always loved lazy villagers but in NH, for some reasons, they ruined completely this personality. They used to be laid back, fun and cute. Now they only think about snacks and bugs and they are so boring to talk to.

It would either be the Jock or the Lazy. I get sooooo fed up of hearing them talk about muscles and bugs.

For me its peppy or normal.

Peppy can be super annoying and normal is just super boring.

Although I don't want any removed from the game as they all add to it. The game would be worse without them. Not better.

I wouldn't want any species removed because they bring variety and help keep the dialogue somewhat fresh. If it absolutely had to be done, I'd probably remove peppies, altough there are many peppy designs I adore. Currently I have 3 peppies on my island and ALL of them talk about being popstars, being a moon[insertanimalhere], how many kilometers the moon is away, bla bla and I find it extremely annoying. If I talk to them two/three times in a row they say "let's see how many MORE times we can talk to each other today" which sounds so passive aggressive to me These days I tend to avoid talking to them altogether and I will soon let at least one of them move away for my sanity.

Jocks and Lazy are also some of the nicest personalities in the game always saying good things about you.

My honest opinion is that every single personality is boring in this game, because they sugar coated each dialogue to the extreme and there is no more spice and fun. But I’d rather have a boring conversation about flowers, books, or laundry than a boring conversation about bugs living under the carpet and whispering

I chose "normal" for the sake of the poll. Normals have very stale personalities and are quite boring. Jocks would be the next runnerup.
Now to play devil's advocate. I believe that more personalities should be added instead of removed. They could easily make normals and jocks better if the personalities were fleshed out. Instead of talking about muscles, maybe jocks have different athletic hobbies. One may have in interest in team sports, while another may have interesta in outdoor activities. If the game devs worked as hard on the animals as they do on furniture designs, we have could have more in-depth personalities for villagers.

I wouldn't remove any personality, all of them are great and unique.

Every time I try to think about a least favorite personality I always remember some dialogue that makes me go "oh no, they are precious" and I can't. For a while I thought peppy was it, but then I remembered the bug roommates conversations, the sheer enthusiasm for dancing and singing, the relatable "Instead of doing something I just played videogames" and... welp, I don't have a least favorite. They all shine differently.

I wouldn't remove any of them, especially if it removes the villagers as well.

But for the sake of the poll. Normal. Calling this a personality is almost a lie. It's like going to some exotic restaurant and buying a Styrofoam take out container as your only purchase. Might be a little cute and simple looking, but it's empty on the inside with zero flavor and substance.

Like some other people have said, I wouldn't remove any of them. But if I had to choose, normal. Eh, they just feel the least interesting in terms of dialogue. Like, most of what they say could easily be given to snooties and it wouldn't be that much different.

Also feel sad so many people voted for Jocks! They're by far the friendliest/most encouraging villagers I have/had.

I simply don’t like Jocks and I avoid them so I only have one. I don’t really want any removed, rather just new personalities and not gender lock them. Pretty simple.

i’d honestly remove smug in a heartbeat. don’t get me wrong, smug villagers aren’t awful by any means, i’ve just never been a fan of their dialogue or the majority of their designs. though, i do like their dialogue in new horizons more than i did in new leaf. being told that i’m “looking as cool as a fair number of cucumbers” always irritated the hell out of me for some reason lol.

100 % I would like to remove Cranky islander types I do not like negatively and I play New Horizons to relax and have a positive mind. I have had 2 cranky types and I do not like to see them stomping around after someone has angered them. And I do not like it when I go to see if they are ok and they snap and me and tell me to go away it makes me sad

I say jock. They’re funny, but their personalities are the least memorable for me, and the dialogue is a bit repetitive.

I say Jock and Lazy like everyone else but only because I do not like how they talk to me. THEY ARE EITHER ALL ABOUT SNACKS OR TRYING TO BE A SNACC. Like please can we just have a good convo? I love peppies soo much because they are just like me so I am hurt that people want them out but I can understand why, I personally would not like any to be taken out but when you think about it overall I think lazy is the best choice. Its still kind of sad to get rid of any of the personalities! GOOD THING THEY WOULD NOT REMOVE ANY PERSONALITIES IN THE NEXT GAME... RIGHT NINTENDO? RIGHT?!?!!?!?
