If you were to make your own hourly music, what genre/style would you choose for each hour?

12am - violin piano duo quiet but the notes sound like they travel the whole spectrum
1am - violin piani duo but muted and more contained
2am - soft violin music
3am - soft jazzy piano
4am - soft guitar
5am - mostly soft drumming and synchronized with quiet piano notes to guide the ear to the notes of drums
6am - drums but louder and more vibrant with a quiet xylophone and flute accompaniment
7am - xylophone/ flute/ clarinet light hearted but alternating in volume ever so slightly to give the impression of one waking up slowly
8am - flute and violin steadied by a bass and light jazzy vibes
9am - Pop music vibes feat alto sax, tenor sax, and piano
10am - light hearted bouncy music feat trombone, violin, piano
11am - light hearted and bouncy again but with saxes and drums
12pm - bongos
1pm - bongos and steel drums for another light hearted song in the sun vibes
2pm - xylophone, steel drums, and flutes for mild pop/ island vibes
3pm - an electric guitar accompanied by a violin and drums jams to what sounds like it could be soft rock
4pm - brass instruments play the same tune as the previous hour
5pm - violin/ bass/ piano/ viola/ classic guitar play the same tune as above
6pm - woodwind instruments play a mash up between the above song and the one below
7pm - orchestrated but a calm and quiet piece w violin solo
8pm - orchestrated but much faster paced as the rushing to finish part of a day
9pm - techno fast paced
10pm - slower techno music w sounds like twinkling stars periodically
11pm - techno music that's quieter and softer

This is really cool to imagine. I'm no music nerd but I love the osts of older games w less ambience and more instruments and how it feels they told their stories of one going about their day. In my mind this is the same thing but I'm not Very knowledgeable about music so uh. Skdnababs thanks for this thread tho. Love your ideas.

I looove that you put techno at night, that sounds so lovely.

For the later times in the day like 4pm onwards I would love some very quiet relaxing jazz. You could be having a coffee late at night under a tree watching the night sky while listening to jazz. Go midnight hunting for bugs and fish while listening to jazz. Haha you can tell I like Jazz :p

I honestly wish I could just pick my favorite hourly themes from all the past games (gamecube, wild world, city folk, new leaf) and have those play

I'd just look to New Leaf and City Folk(Wild World) for inspiration. Those 2 games hit it out of the park.

New Leaf hourly music is just perfection. Also missed opportunity to have New Horizons hourly music to be all bossa nova or slow jazz (kind of like New Leaf's 5pm music) since that kind of music defines relaxation or vacation on a desert island.
