Yeah New Leaf will forever be special to me too. I've played it for well over 3000 hours!!

But each new Animal Crossing game kind of invalidates the previous game so the only reason I'd ever revisit it later is for the memories. Memories of a messy town lol

I kinda hope there's a way to commemorate New Leaf in some way. I think for a lot of us we've had towns that are years old. I want a fresh start, but I also want some way to... I don't know... honor? remember? the previous town

ACNL was my first ac game and I fell in love with it. It had a different feeling from other games, you know what I mean? I'm hoping the switch ac also has that feeling.

i'm already so exited and already feeding on leaks to a game that we don't even have a title for, let alone release date. It will be my most anticipated game of 2019 along with Pokemon gen 8.
