Wii is more catchy than revolution and every next gen (now current gen) console has a three letter word to represent them.

eg. 360, PS3 Wii

If it was Rev it would be "RevolutionSports","RevolutionMusic".
Also Revolution sounds like it would have AWESOME graphics, but we know the Wii doesnt always have great graphics
