Yesterday was the most exciting day of my life! As I walked out of the station, I was greeted by a chicken, a goose, a cat and a cute yellow dog! They clapped and cheered for me, and then welcomed me to the town. The dog introduced herself as Isabelle, and said that she'd been waiting for me, the Mayor, to arrive. The Mayor? What? I told her that this was a mistake, I wasn't the Mayor! I had simply come here to live... Isabelle insisted that I was the Mayor, and asked me to go to the town hall. Confused, I did so, and she began telling me about being Mayor, before realising I had nowhere to live.
She said I should go to Nook's Homes on Main Street and speak to Tom Nook. I walked to Main Street, stopping off at two houses (Pinky's and Gigi's) to introduce myself and to say hello. I also spoke to Bob, Knox and Goose (ironically, the goose). They said they were looking forward to my plans for the future. I nodded, but knew that I didn't have any plans. I was still in shock!
Main Street was nice, there was a museum, post office, small shop named Nookling Junction, and a clothes shop run by the three Able Sisters, Sable, Mabel and Label, and of course Nook's Homes. Inside was a racoon, who seemed pleased to see me. He asked if I knew where I wanted my house, and actually, I did! He followed me to the location, which was in the south of the town, almost in the middle, on the cliff overlooking the beach. He said it was a great location, and fenced off the area. He then gave me a tent to sleep in. He told me to stop by Nook's Homes later to find out the cost of the build, and then ran off back to his little shop.
I remembered that I had to go and see Isabelle, and went back to the town hall. She told me a few things about living in Fourleaf, and asked me to complete some tasks. I ended up getting a watering can and a fishing rod out of it, which I was happy with. I picked some fruit, collected shells and did some errands for the villagers and then sold everything to Reese at Re-Tail. I went to Nookling Junction and bought a shovel and net, and checked out the furniture there.
I went to Nook's Homes, and he told me that the down payment was 10,000 Bells. I had enough money to pay him there and then, so I did. I then went to my tent and went to sleep... *snore*
Today I woke up in a house! It's pretty small, and it has a blue roof. Around it is a little picket fence. Cute! I went straight to Isabelle in the town hall to see what I was supposed to do next, and had to sit in the chair at the back. She explained that I had to get a town development permit before I could start building anything. She said to come back when she was less busy, so I went fishing for a while and donated my new catches to Blathers in the museum, and sold the rest to Reese. I then went to Nookling Junction, but nothing caught my eye. I stopped by Able Sisters and bought an orange lace-up dress.
After that, I talked to a few villagers and went fossil-hunting. I donated all of them to the museum. Then I saw a small area that had been reserved for another animal... Hmm, wonder who it could be?
So, my first few days in Fourleaf have been even more exciting than I ever could've imagined! I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
