I'm never buying Amiibo cards separately ever again

aw man, i’m really sorry to hear this — i know how badly you wanted her card. :(

i’m glad that the seller was nice at least and issued a refund, but i can only imagine how disappointed you must be feeling right now. i hope you’re able to get her card one day, and if i ever come across it, i’d be more than happy to send it your way if you still need it. <3

Sorry to hear about this! Hope the card magically shows up in the next couple of days. At least the seller was really nice about it! Hope you can pay and keep the card if it does show up.

I ordered a bunch of special NPC/character cards on eBay that I was missing these last few weeks, in anticipation of the Roost and Happy Home Paradise. I've gotten all but two. One that still hasn't arrived had tracking on it that said it was supposed to be delivered by Thursday. The tracking said it made it to my local post office on Friday, but it wasn't delivered on Saturday. It sounds like maybe the post office is just backed up. It's so frustrating when it happens, though.

Most sellers are pretty nice, in my experience, and at least try to do the right thing. A lot of sellers offer extra services like tracking, I think, but I never know how to add it to my order.

Sorry this happened to you. I hope it does show up for you. I have been lucky and have gotten all my cards I bought from eBay. I was worried about them getting lost when I was waiting for them since no tracking number. Mine came in a plain small white envelope. If you didn’t look close enough you wouldn’t have thought it was them.

Thank you everyone. To be honest, normally I don't have problems with items getting to me, mostly because they have tracking numbers where I can track where they are at but not this time. I just emailed the seller and said

"I know it's a long shot but if the card does come, would you be willing to just recharge me for it? I would rather have the card than the refund."

They have been pretty quick at replying. I will let you guys know what they say.

Sorry they misplaced your card.
I know it's not the same, but I have Tutu's amiibo card. I can upload her onto my second island if you want her. Just let me know!

Yeah, it really isn't the same thing but I am grateful for the offer which I may take you up on until I am able to rebuy her card.

You’re welcome. Completely understand. Just thought it might cheer you up a bit if you had her around until you get the card.

Offer is open anytime :)

It might still be on its way. Snail mail is called snail mail for a reason. It’s very very slow. Hopefully you end up getting it. If you do receive it, you can try asking the seller if you can you pay them again instead of mailing it back.

If you go on Amazon, you can find a bunch of packs of Amiibo cards for a good price, tends to add up to less then a dollar per card. And while not through Amazon (an separate stellar) they are fullfilled by Amazon, meaning if something happens, Amazon has your back, plus free shipping over $35 (depending on your country, I’m in Canada) unless you have a prime membership then it’s free shipping no matter what.

that's weird that you never got a tracking number, I've made multiple sales/purchases through USPS and I've always gotten a tracking number to keep an eye on it. I wonder if it wasn't packaged/stamped properly or something and they rejected it 🤔
edit: I just remembered that letters don't usually come with tracking numbers. i think it would be wise for the seller to ship the card in a bubble envelope, the shipping might be more but im p sure most packages have a tracking number.

whatever the case, here's hoping you can get her card soon.

The seller got back to me and said they are willing to recharge me for the card if it shows up, so I'm hoping it shows up this week.

I just wish I wasn't so quick with asking for a refund especially when I know how slow the mail can be particularly getting closer to the holidays.

Im sorry to hear this, i think what ever country your in the postal service is okay at best, in the uk ive had many items AC snd non AC never turn up. They must go somewhere?

I think they tried to deliver the card today but said they weren't able to saying something like 'we missed you'. I've been home all dang day, so how they 'missed me' is a question I'd like the know the answer to.

I don't know what USPS is doing but they are a terrible option to choose to ship something to someone. I have to go up to the post office tomorrow and pick it up. Freaking annoying.

Getting really exhausted with all the drama surrounding me getting this card. Too much for one card......

I traded amiibo cards years ago and for tracking it was like $3, while a regular stamp is less than a dollar. For the cheaper/less popular cards it didn't really make sense to track, but for multiple cards or expensive ones, it's a good idea. I never had any issues except for one where I had the address wrong... it somehow still made it to the person a week late (and after I bought a replacement on ebay...)

Usually they leave the "missed you" slip for packages or things with tracking, so it may not be the card? Unless it was flagged somehow. The card may also end up back at the seller without you knowing if they don't tell you.

Speaking of Amiibo cards. I just went to Walmart and bought a non-descript binder and trading card sized sleeves. Came out to a little over $11 all together. They fit perfectly too.

If I had bought something similar on Amazon, it would have been like $30.

I can't wait to add more Amiibo cards to my collection. :)

It's possible it's not the card, because the card doesn't have a tracking number. I am going up to the Post Office tomorrow and find out what's going on. if it does end up back at the seller, it would be unfortunate but I won't be out any money since I already got refunded and will only get recharged if I chose to keep the card.
