hello!!!! i am new here, my name is gail!! i just wanted to introduce myself, as i hope to be spending a lot of time on here!! also, this is a slight disclaimer if i make any mistakes or do something wrong, i've only been using forums for a few weeks, so i'm not quite sure of the workings of them yet ~ i will try hard though!
Save your bell tree bells (BTB). It shows how much you have below your avatar. These can be used to buy helpful items from the forum shop, like avatar animation and expansion, as well as fun collectibles for you to show off to other users. If you're not interested in any of these things, people will buy them from you at a very high in-game bell price. (Right now, it's about 5mil In game bells per 100 BTB) Or you can use them to buy in game items from other players, as well!
And make sure to pay attention to the forum rules and posting guides. Each forum has their own set of rules to abide by. For example, there are two different market place forums. One for TBT bells, and one for in-game bells.

Welcome to The Bell Tree Forums madokaname! I'm sure you will enjoy your time on this site as it is rather fun to be apart of. BTB is very important on this site as mashedpotaties mentioned, they are worth a lot in game and can be used for lots of fun thing son this site! Also, you can trade them for things totally outside of animal crossing as well, like the Super smash bros demo that people were going crazy for this past week XD or rare pokemon if you play pokemon as well!
