well!
i myself got into homestuck only a few months ago
for the longest time id had the worst impression on it due to the fandom (or at least its reputation), but, i decided to start reading as many of my friends were talking about it a bit

id recommend you give it a go, if you've got plenty of time on your hands with it being so long. just stay away from the majority of the fandom and you're good .

tried reading it maaaany years ago. i wanted to get to the trolls asap. they appear in the fifth act. everyone said "don't skip the first four acts just to get to the trolls! you won't understand anything!" i challenged god and skipped most of the chat logs in the first four acts.

being arrogant and young, i was actually legitimately surprised when i didn't understand a thing going on. i'm still not exactly sure what i read, honestly! i'd probably love it if i picked it up again, though.

but yes! don't skip around the story like i did. you will most definitely be confused if you do.
