It's hard for me to say without experiencing it, but just thinking about other games as well, I think I'd prefer for Animal Crossing specifically to keep the fixed front, rolling log view, rather than having a 360° view! I quite like the fixed view. A 360° view definitely wouldn't stop me from playing or enjoying the game though, so either way, I think I'd enjoy it!
What I would really like is the ability to place furniture at an angle, having eight directions for placement instead of four. That would be dreamy. And also I want to put rugs outside.
