I want to pick up some more indie games on Switch and am looking for recommendations šŸ˜Š I really enjoy things like Hollow Knight, Night in the Woods, Kentucky Route Zero, and games by Super Giant and That Game Company.

Do you think you might enjoy Spiritfarer? I havenā€™t played it yet (just bought I actually!) but itā€™s on sale at the moment so I wanted to mention it.

Oxenfree is another indie game that I enjoyed! Itā€™s sort of like a point and click, I think? You can run around with the joystick but the way you interact with items is more like a point & click if memory serves? There is a timer/countdown element though which sort of stresses me out so I wanted to mention it. When thereā€™s a dialogue option between characters youā€™re given two choices and only a small amount of time to pick what you want to say.

Rƶki was another one I really enjoyed. Itā€™s also got some point & click mechanics (you can run around but the way you interact is more like a point & click) but nothing in this game is timed so I find itā€™s a lot more relaxing to play. Itā€™s got a cute fairytale style story and a snowy environment!

Hopefully these recommendations were okay! I tried to look up the game companies but Iā€™ve not played the games youā€™ve mentioned. Iā€™ve watched a play through of Night in the Woods and enjoyed that, though!

Ahhhh thank you so much for these recommendations! I will check them out (and see whatā€™s on sale in the uk eshop ahah) I have a tendency to just. Replay games I know I like and I wanna branch out more so really appreciate the recs šŸ˜Š

I really love the look of Spiritfarer, I hope you enjoy it šŸ˜ŠšŸ’•

Golf Story is hilarious and fun, even if youā€™re not into golf.
A Short Hike is adorable and relaxing, but the title is super accurate.
Untitled Goose Game is a blast, and a decent challenge if you decide to %100 it.

I really like Yes, Your Grace, I think it might be a bit different than what you've played before, but it's a game where you choices matter, but you don't find out why, or how, till the end, it's really good though :D

I've seen this game getting a lot of buzz called Panzer Paladin, its a retro style action platformer, I haven't picked it up but its on my Wishlist to pick up after completing some other games lol but I've heard nothing about great things about it

Whahhh thank you for all these game recommendations! Gonna add them all to my wishlist and see what feels right/is on sale when I finish off Spiritfarer~ I love the Switch as a console for indie games but find the store really difficult to navigate so having recs helps a massive amount šŸ˜ŠšŸ’•

If you like challenging games then I would recommend Katana Zero. It's kinda like Hotline Miami but I find it a bit easier to pick up. The story is also interesting. It does have some wholesome elements to it.

Was going to recommend Golf Story as well. I absolutely didn't expect the game to be this good.
A Short Hike looks great as well, I haven't gotten the chance to play it yet.

I just recently played and finished Gris. It's a very beautiful game with some easy platforming elements. It is such a wonder to play through this game. However, it is not heavy on gameplay, so if you want something more action heavy or challenging, it might not be for you. Still, it's on sale right now so it could be worth looking into :)

I recommend looking at DekuDeals if you aren't familiar with it yet to be able to track sales and find games.

Littlewood is coming out this month and it looks really good!

I put warnings in with my recommendations below so that hopefully anyone reading this can pick games that won't be upsetting to them.

1. Stardew Valley
2. Graveyard Keeper

Dark humor and you have to be okay with some of it being gross.
3. Battle Chef Brigade (but it's short so I recommend waiting for a sale)
There is time pressure, combat and match 3 mechanics.
4. Cook, Serve, Delicious (2 or 3)
Levels are quick and can stressful. Recommend playing with the touchscreen.
5. Shakedown Hawaii
Only if you are fine with: crude humor, despicable protagonists, pixelated violence.
6. Donut County (short so recommend on sale)
It doesn't take more than a few hours, so definitely wait until you can buy it for a few dollars/euros/ect.
7. Slayaway Camp
Only if you really like puzzles and don't mind a violent homage to hokey old horror movies (pixelated violence)
