Splatoon Inklings VS Octolings

So the Octo Expansion is coming out tomorrow. I suspect there will be a massive flood of Octolings to begin with, but I was wondering which species people want to play long term. So far I'm leaning somewhat towards Inklings but maybe the campaign will change my mind.

I suppose it's always an option to regularly switch species, but I personally like having my character be consistent.

I've never played either of the Splatoon games, but if I ever try 2 at some point then I'd definitely use an Octoling instead of an Inkling. Back when the first Splatoon game was current, I was having a conversation with a friend who owns that game and Octolings were brought to my attention then. I said that I would want to use an Octoling character back then, so it's nice that they're now giving players the option. I just find the design more interesting.

I'm probably going to stick with Inklings, but it's fun to change that every now and then!

I don't have a Switch and so I didn't play Splatoon 2 yet, but I'm really interested in the game and will definitely get it along with the Octo Expansion once I have a Switch. In general, I like the Octolings more then the Inklings, so I would play more as a Octoling then a Inkling.

I go with Inklings, because they aren't so weird looking then the Octolings and I don't like how the Octolings where such bad clothing when you first start playing as them.

I love inklings! Octolings don't look that appealling to me.

the octolings are adorable and im totally playing as one from now on. but something i really love about the expansion is the new clothes, especially the black high heeled boots. they look really cool

I do like to play as a Octoling, although I'm kinda sad that the Octolings doesn't have such
a big selection of hair styles. I wish you could choose that one hair style the evil Octolings
have.

Inklings are so freakin cute woomy ;.; I love the afro octolings though. I agree they need more hairstyles but we're never gonna get em. I don't even have the expansion though lol

I don't have the switch so I can't play the expansion but I used to play a lot on my Wii U!
And I know I loved octolings so much like I found them so original, but come to think of it I think I'd prefer inklings because they're cuter in my opinion. And I don't know, I just like them a bit more.
