Inside House Directions

Does anyone know the directions "east,west,north,south" for the inside of the house.

I was assuming that "North" was the direction I was facing when entered my home. When Lyle evaluated my home he made a comment about the red lamp being at the east wall and that was for good fortune. This is wall I am facing when I walk though the front door. Thanks for all replies.

Red items go on the right and right is east. The back wall of the house is North, the side the exit door is on is South and the left wall is West
