Instant one day username change? How does it work?

How does the instant one day username change work? Does it go into inventory? If so, if I delete it later, will my username change back to what it was before? Just curious, as I might change it later sometime in the future and I would like to know all the facts before I do.

you have to use the instant one-day on the day it was purchased or else it expires. your username won't revert back if you discard it.
