Interior Décor?

What do you want your room/house to look like? Any themes, colours, etcetera?

I'm thinking of doing olive green and beige for my room. I want to get more plants and wood based furniture so my room gives off a "nature feel", I feel like it could lift my mood.

I don't have many ideas for decorating but I often wonder about how cool it'd be to have a dark blue-colored roof with tiny lights that look like stars. I'd probably go for a blue theme in general since it's such a calming color.

Some kind of a nice plant corner would be great too, with cacti and other sweet plants like succulents.

Personally I'd like a room with some wooden antique types of furniture and then be able to decorate with lights, lot's of plants, and maybe set some crystals out. With my room now, I barely have space or money for anything too decorative. I'd put more plants out, but my 14 year old cat still loves getting into all kinds of things like she's a kitten and I'd know she'd probably wanna start chewing on the leafs or rubbing herself against a cactus.

My room currently goes with the "Clean your room or else" kind of theme. I'm going to make some changes tonight.

I've always wanted to do a lot of purples and reds/burgundy, obviously I would do black but I know how that can be depressing. So I'm a fan of jewel tones. Since me and my boyfriend live together I didn't want to overdo the purple, even though he loves it too, so we were thinking of doing like a sage color or some other muddied green color cause it's really relaxing to look at. But it'd be too much effort to move all of our stuff out of the room just to paint it, so we're holding off.

Most of my furniture is black besides our giant dresser, which I will eventually end up painting and replacing all of the handles on I'm sure because it's very outdated. I love having lots of shelves because I collect a lot of things I like to have displayed around, I'm hoping to get some coffin shelves soon because they're adorable and will look amazing with my stuff.

Eventually when we get our own house I plan to have a room as my office/studio and it will be split down the middle with my two loves, gothy witchy stuff on one side, and kawaii adorable things on the other side. =D

I'm a minimalist.

I have a bed, and a table in my room.

Oh, and a light on the table.

I have walk-in robes. ^_^

I am a huge sucker for neoclassical furniture. One day I would very much adore having a study room with dark wooden walls/built in bookshelves, a fireplace, a window seat and a nice executive desk. Maybe a chaise lounge in one corner and a shelf with all of my Navy memorabilia in another. It's what keeps me motivated to succeed, haha!

has anybody else noticed how the title is still a victim of the glitch apocalypse? the accent is on the e (?) when you click on the thread but it's on the o (?) when you see the link on the homepage/sub-forum's menu. weird.

I like sleek, modern styles. with pops of color!

I really wanna put fairy lights in my bedroom with a cherry blossom tree wall decal and maybe a mosquito net canopy. I am planning on using my widow sills as book shelves and I want to buy a toy hammock for my plushies.

My decorating style is very eclectic, and I own my own home so have free reign to do whatever! On one hand I like monotone colors and massive antique-styled oak furniture, but I also like more contemporary pieces and incorporating pops of color here and there. Nearly every room has large, framed artwork on the walls (most from James Jean) and you'd be hard pressed to find a room that doesn't include at least one piece of cat furniture. I don't mind showing a couple rooms!

I've been thinking of redecorating my living room with more neutral tones but the art piece is so colorful it may look weird. Still not entirely sure what I want to do with it.

i love your living room and bedroom, the grey, cream, beige and white along with the wood furniture is just so cosy and natural. the paintings give a hint of your personality, the frames are particularly cute and i also love your fireplace.

im kinda jealous to be honest, i wish i had the freewill to paint and decorate everything without having to worry about a landlord's issues and conditions.

your cat is gorgeous. <3

Thanks so much! I'm not totally happy with the living room but really don't know what I want to do with it. Maybe I should hire a decorator but that would mean letting some sketchball into my house and no thanks on all that.

Ivy says thank you, too!

Same! Love this theme.

my room's very much a botanist's bedroom. blue, green and cream. lots of plants- leafy and succulent. many a souvenir taped to the walls and lots of pretty ornaments on my shelves and windowsill inbetween the plant pots.

oh, and my boyfriend bought me a new duvet cover with floral green/yellow things on, so i'm excited to replace my plain white one with that (-:

If I lived in my own house, I would probably go with a medium-dark antique wood style of furniture with warm (reds, oranges, browns, and possibly greens) colors to go along with it :3

My room at the moment is very cool toned (which is what I was going for). I have a seafood green/ blue kind of color on my walls, my headboard is like dark blue and purple paisley design, my curtains are a dark purple ash color, my bed sheets are a lighter purple (kind of mauve) and my desk is a dark blue cx
