I don't think so... not sure yet. I'll be buying it. It can't be worse than Mario Party, right?

I thought you meant 'as f***' oops
and uh, people are judging the game too quickly...

"I WANTED A MAIN AC WII U GAME, NOT THIS TRASH!"

Translates to: "No"

Not out until the end of November pretty much so way too soon to know for sure...

...but that said, I'm not convinced it'll be much good. I know it's jumping the gun to say for sure, but we pretty much know it'll be a party game, and my experience with party games goes a little like this:

- Play party game for 20 minutes
- Everyone's bored, play Guitar Hero/Rock Band instead for much, much longer

Playing the games to begin with is rare enough and there's very little appeal in playing them single-player. So meh.

I'd probably have preferred an Animal Crossing rhythm game spin-off ;)

Until I looked at the board I thought you meant af as in as****...

I'll probably buy it just for the amiibo, but tbh I'd rather have AC Wii U since that was the main reason I bought my Wii U 2 frickin years ago.

To everyone wishing for an AC on WiiU I'm kind of HAPPY they're not doing it.

They have another console coming out PROBABLY in holiday 2017. Some are speculating holiday 2016 though. Developers are already receiving dev kits for it. Of course they aren't going to release another Animal Crossing on the WiiU. It's a matter of simple math. They release a new Animal Crossing every 3-4 years.

We got it on the GameCube first (non-Japanese folk) in 2002.

Then Wild World came out on the DS in 2005.

And later City Folk on the Wii in 2008.

And finally New Leaf on the 3DS in 2012.

The newest we'd get another TV console Animal Crossing would have to be 2015 or 2016.

Nintendo has been developing their next console for many months already. They're looking forward. They don't want to release a game that's supposed to last 3-4+ years on a console that will be outdated in 1 year.

The next Animal Crossing game will most likely be on a home console, following Nintendo's trend. And because of the timeline, it will miss this generation, the WiiU.

Still, they haven't skipped doing an AC on any of their consoles and it kinda stinks for the people that bought a brand new console because now they have to buy the new one...

Yeah more than likely, though speculation for their new console currently is a hybrid home/mobile device. My guess is some streaming to TV, but who really knows. Would be cool either way, but I agree it's unlikely to get a Wii U release. I'd be surprised if it did at this point.

Only if you bought the console for that one specific game really, and you shouldn't do that until you know for sure the game you want will exist on it! :p

Well obviously I didn't buy it JUST for AC Wii U, but still why would you deprive a console of a best-selling game?

Tbh I only play 3ds games, so I'll never know :p
but I do want the Isabelle, tom nook, and k.k. Slider amiibo tho

Nintendo didn't expect the WiiU to do so poorly. They probably had to can or delay a lot of ideas. At least this way the next Animal Crossing might be on a console people actually play!

yeah who knows how that stuff will work out though. They also said you could play games on the gamepad while someone else uses the TV on the WiiU. Then it turns out you have to stay in the same room because the gamepad would have a fit if it wasn't near the console. All my fantasies of using it to watch netflix in the kitchen, or whatever were let down. It's definitely NOT going to be a mobile device streaming to the TV because the games need to run using their promised cpu and graphics power and that won't happen from a mobile. Who knows. Maybe it will tie in with the mobile apps they're releasing?! All anyone is doing is speculating about the functionality. With Nintendo, we will only know how it works once it's in our hands.

i don't know how it's possible for anyone to say the game is bad when it hasn't even been released yet but ok

can someone please explain what "af" is????? rather than the slang term I though they meant.
