i was considering skipping the event since i'm not a big fan of christmas
now that my sister has showed me how toy day works, i'm definately gonna skip it

i have a picture on how it works but i don't wanna spoil it for others 😅

I’m assuming it’s just helping jingle handing out gifts to islanders? I’m more excited for New Years with all the new food items we have and champagne :)
same, i love the food in this game it's so cute aha
and it is but i don't think u buy the presents for them, i'll have to re-read the post
i never did events on previous animal crossing games so i'm not sure how similar it is to the original toy day

I know all the food and new year decorations look amazing it’s annoying it’s all time locked :(

I don’t think I ever played toy day either in New Leaf for some silly reason.

I'll miss the Toy Day event on both my NH & SH islands because I reset during Halloween (Jack still visited) and am keeping everyone in tents. Missed Turkey Day too because it required an upgraded RS. No Isabelle and having really natural/undeveloped islands is too good for me to let go of.

that sounds like such a cool idea and ur lucky to not have isabelle, she's kinda irritating tbh 😅

i've time travelled back to april to redo some events because i reset in october and honestly i don't really feel like toy day is worth time travelling forward over half a year

I'll definitely hop on later that night and do what I can just to experience it like everyone else, whether it's trash or not lol. Like another person said though, I'm far more interested in the New Years event :D

I’ll be doing the toy day event to my best abilities (since we’re busy with other things on Christmas Eve night I’m not entirely sure if I’ll be able to complete it with all my characters). I am looking forward to those New Years items, though (especially the sparkling cider-if it can be placed down it’s going to change bar builds entirely)

i don't think i'll be doing anything for christmas, so it'll be nice to do something christmas-y that day doing the event. also i've been buying these toys in the shop every day LMAO did i need to not do that . . . X__x

I read that somewhere as well but don’t think it is true. That would be sad if they only got apples. I also saw this picture I think it was in Twitter

I have got a friend on YouTube who has really awesomely extended the music themes for Toy Day (Northern Hemisphere) and Toy Day (Southern Hemisphere) just in case anyone wanted to chill out and listen to them.

Some peopl like gifting their villiagers. I give actual gifts to my favorites. I give fruits to those I will let move on after collecting their picture.

sounds like it works almost identically to NL, so i have no issues playing it -- especially since i'm not doing anything else, anyway. it only ever takes maybe 10-20 minutes, which is hardly much compared to other events. if the "magic bag" is still obtainable (which i doubt, but we'll see), i'll probably even have to play it twice just to get that since it was one of my favorite "tools" in NL.
