is anyone doing the toy day event?

I never played toy day in the previous games, so I hope I get to experience it. I really don't want to mess up my villagers houses though, so I may have to skip it depending on how it works.

I am doing because I love Christmas and its my favorite holiday but I just hope its not too underwhelming like the Turkey Day Event last month.

honestly i really enjoyed the turkey day event until i found out u could just buy the diys from nooks the next day, for me the only good events so far were the wedding and halloween events

i haven't missed an event on this game yet so i might give toy day a try if i can get into the holiday spirit but that's unlikely

I plan on doing the event might I might have to time travel back for it. I don't have the same urgency to do the event the same day now that I time travel.

I read that somewhere as well but don’t think it is true. That would be sad if they only got apples. I also saw this picture I think it was in Twitter

That looks just like they dressed up in the Santa outfit and gave them a gift regularly.

i'm in the uk so i don't celebrate thanksgiving and i genuinely forgot it was a holiday even while doing the event, i'm a pretty forgetful person lol

i felt like i wasted loads of time doing the event but i guess it is a good thing they sold the diys in nooks for those who couldn't take part

Maybe it was just me but in new leaf when Toy Day showed up, I ran around looking for jingle and found him no where.
But then again, I wasn't focusing on what I was supposed to do since... I really didn't know.

it seems pretty simple by the looks of it, not as complicated as new leaf
i didn't really understand how it worked on new leaf though, i would just take the bag and never complete the event lol

Why would it be sad? I would hate if the present is something they can put in their house, that would suck
So fruit is fine by me. It's a safe option.

If all the villagers just got apples it would take the fun out of figuring out what gifts each villager wanted. I loved that in new leaf they gave you clues. If all you do is give them fruit the event won’t last long at all. I can see why some would want to give fruit but I like giving them actual gifts.

I'm planning on taking part, as long as I have time. As has already been mentioned, the problem with the IRL holiday events is that people will be busy celebrating them IRL, so it's hard to make an interesting event in-game, since those people won't have a lot of time to invest in the game's event. I think I actually never experienced Toy Day in ACNL because of that.

I'll definitely be taking part! even if it's not a massive event I always think it's sweet seeing Jingle and handing things out to villagers. luckily my christmas eve irl is usually pretty chill so I should be able to find the time to play - if they did the event on actual christmas day I might find it harder to get on and play

I’ll take part, though I don’t know whether it will be in real time, or sometime after Christmas Eve. With the pandemic changing my holiday plans (we normally host a party), perhaps I’ll have more time the day of to play it.

Christmas is my favorite holiday in real life, and Toy Day is probably my favorite Animal Crossing holiday. Playing through the Jingle event back in 2002 (during the aforementioned party; I still have no idea how I convinced so many people to watch me hunt for a digital reindeer) is one of my favorite AC memories, and it played a big part in getting me hooked on the series in the first place. I haven’t done as much with it in recent years, but I played the ACNL event again last year, and had a good time. I appreciate how the modern iterations are fairly short (vs the old Jingle hunt, which took too much time and required too many shirt purchases in advance).

I do want to find out more about whether these gifts will affect my villagers’ houses, though. So far, I’ve mostly given my villagers wrapped fruit to avoid messing with their house interiors.

i’m definitely going to do it! while i’m still not sure how it’ll work, christmas is my absolute favourite holiday and i love toy day! even if the event is just helping jingle hand out presents, i’m still very excited to see him and celebrate christmas in-game.

I just realised that I won't be able to do the event since I'll be travelling all Christmas Eve and away from home on Christmas... I might time travel back to it though if it's worth it

I wouldn’t mine doing it even thought it’ll probably take like 10 minutes at max. But I’ll probably have problems trying to fit it in Christmas Eve bc I’m going to be either sleeping or working most the day.

I love Christmas so I'll be doing the event regardless. Where I am going for holiday I won't be able to use Wifi so I can't do any online events here on the TBT so it'll be nice to experience AC Toy Day with Jingle.

I am not sure how it will go but i assume we give toys to our villagers? Seems kinda nice to me to treat them for once haha. I just hope they wont clutter their homes with the toys lol.

I do my best to do all the events too. Not only can they be fun. But thry change up the daily tasks for the day and give you a reason to do something new
